A mini tour of my altar to Aphrodite. Apologies for the shaky vid as I was holding the camera in one hand. Artists mentioned: www.artnet.com/artists/konstan... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_...
You have a wonderful speaking voice. This altar is beautiful, I love how mindfully crafted it is. Hope to see more videos from you :) many blessings, Lucy
That's so cool. You have such lovely things you've accumulated. I have an altar too dedicated to Aphrodite. It's doesn't look as good as yours though. 😂 But I am still offering new things to her. 🥰 I hope you make more similar videos like this in the future. 💗
Aphrodite has come to me in a dream and I built a temporary alter to her and prayed to her with my coven. But I wanna build an alter and pray to her myself; but even though your video helped I’m still lost. Any advice?
If you're unable to build her a big altar, you can always try something small. My altar was originally just an abalone shell with pearls in it, and a tiny figurine of Aphrodite next to it. The sea and its motifs are associated with her, so anything related to them can be good enough for an altar. Also, if a physical altar isn't possible, acts of self-love, poetry, baking cakes are all little homages to her. Hope that helps! :)
What books do you recommend to learn to contact the Roman and Greek gods? I know some of their demonic archetypes, but I want to connect with their pagan aspects. Thank you.
Personally, I try to incorporate both the psychology and the history into my practice of goddess worship. I like Jean Shinoda Bolen's "Goddesses in Everywoman" for the former and "Heroes..." by Stephen Fry for the latter. It also helps to pinpoint a specific deity whom you connect with and to research into their evolution and symbology over time. For instance, I studied the origins of Aphrodite as an early Sumerian goddess, and how she transformed over time. For her invocation, I also try to find hymns/songs that were originally dedicated to her, as well as more contemporary tunes and art that evoke her image in my mind's eye. Hope that helps 💞
Mythopoetic I’m connecting with Apollo. After a while he merged with helios according to some sources, his demonic aspect (meaning his abrahamic perverse interpretation is the demon abbadon which means destroyer) Aphrodite also has a demon aspect, astaroth, and according to Vk jehannum astaroth/Venus/Aphrodite/Astarte/Inanna are the aspects to the same being. Apollo/apolion/abbadon/sol/helios are the same being. Thanks for the info. Hopefully what I know is of use to you as well.
@@CaliDraco It's true that Apollo and Helios have seen some syncretization. Iirc they have a lot of aspects in common. In tarot symbology, I tend to associate Apollo with the Chariot card, and also with the Sun, both of which are highly positive and about forward momentum, but also about secrets coming to light. And I've done some shadow work in the past with Aphrodite's demonic aspect. I tend to conflate Astarte with Prosephina/Persephone, based on Inanna's sister/shadow aspect Ershkigal. Two sides of the same coin, but ruling over different halves of the psyche ❤
Personally I don't pray everyday to her, but from time to time I like to leave small tokens such as flowers or sweets at the altar, or do works of art in tribute to her. If I'm not home or traveling I take the time for small moments of self care as a tribute to her. Fridays are her days, so I tend to say my prayer to her then :)
Hey there ❤ A big altar isn't necessary to connect with Aphrodite. As she rules the areas of love, romance, self care and creativity, you can try connecting to her with commemorative poems or artwork, or by showing acts of lovingkindness to yourself and others. She is also tied to the sea, so try taking a trip to the beach or to any flowing body if water to see if that kindles a connection for you ❤
Hi! While I generally work with Aphrodite for self-love rather than partner-seeking, she is certainly one to work with for romance. That said, she may also introduce you to a fun fling as opposed to a serious mate. In addition to Aphrodite, you may consider working with Juno/Hera, as the goddess of marriage and committed love, to have better luck in finding the right person ❤
@@mythopoetic3510 Thank you for your reply - How do I go about it? Do I just have a conversation with her, asking to bless me with a romantic soulmate? Thanks x
@@svusaver I generally leave offerings on my altar, and then respectfully make a request (in your case the request can be for a soulmate for example). At the same time, you want to make sure you're matching the vibration of the request (being in a positive, hopeful and confident state of mind rather than chasing after a particular outcome) so that Aphrodite's energy can work seamlessly with yours. I also like to make eco-friendly offerings near bodies of water (or the ocean if you're near it) so your wishes are put forward into a realm that the goddess is most comfortable with. Hope that helps! ☺
@@svusaver Hera is said to have different preferences in terms of offerings and places that are associated with her. But the same template can be applied in terms of keeping your vibrations high, in order to match her energy. There are some nice tips on vocal.media/futurism/ways-of-worship-hera that you might find useful to know about her prayers and favorite plants ❤
Absolutely! Since so much of devotion to Aphrodite involves acts of everyday sweetness, what better way than to wear fragrances that uplift the mood and remind you of her :)
I cannot afford anything for an altar for aphrodite, i’m under 18 so i can’t buy anything without cash. My mom doesn’t believe in witchcraft so i have to be careful what i buy :,)
You can summon Aphrodite's energy by dedicating a beautiful space to her instead of an altar - the best part is that it can be done with items she favors, like flowers, artwork, mirrors, candy or anything that fills you with a sense of peace and upliftment.
@@mythopoetic3510 thnksss just one more question , what will happen after i do that ... i mean will goddess Aphrodite will make love come into my life?
@@aashvisharma4511 The first step is to be open to her energy not just for romantic love, but love of all kinds (self love, love of nature, love of life). As you do, your own energy will change to attract the love you want.
Beautiful altar. I am getting an aphrodite statue soon
Thank you so much! Good luck with the statue; with or without a representative figurine, Aphrodite brings so much joy into each moment 💕
The alter is so lovely. 🎀💖

She is also the Goddess of Beauty.
Your altar to Aphrodite is very pretty and interesting. But she is the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty. Just thought I’d say that.

I'm looking to get into aphrodite as a deitie but do I have to pray to her every day and if I do what if I'm not home for a few days?

What is it like
You forgot the aphordisiac foods. Lol
Hehe I have small kids who love sweets, so I tend to keep them away from the altar 😂
