      That time in my childhood I didn't think much about death from falling from a staircase but now that I think about it, it's just stupid. Who dies from that? xD I mean some broken bones and lot of blood is believable but just death? She didn't even have hemorrhage.

      Sholay's records are not officially available,it was in Cinemas for 15 years almost,in fact HAHK holds the record for the highest footfalls in the history of Indian Cinema but that is only because Sholay's records were never kept,different trade pundits of that time have gone as far as 25,00,00,000 crore footfalls for Sholay,16,00,00,000 is the average for it,but yup no official record is there to support this claim and HAHK was not the first Indian movie to enter the 100 crore club,Ghajini was.

    I remember this movie was in our town's theatre for 1 year and 8 months straight and people were going to watch it with all of their family members. It was like a celebration going on.

    That movie is on TV every weekend on some channel and trust me we watch it everytime we land up on the channel. Its a perfect family movie for lunch time and dinner time. To sing along all the 14 songs is fun.

    I rewatched this movie as an adult. The producers make it available for free on CZcams. The strange thing about the movie is it doesen't have much of a story; but emotionally it really grips you as the family situations are so familiar to most Indians. The director has a deep understanding of our culture and what tugs our heart strings.

    Nice, there were no trailer per se when this movie came. So someone put in the entire movie. This movie became a super hit because of the Songs. Even the dresses Madhuri wore for the songs became the go to designs for the girls around India

    For people who want to know the whole story of the trailer/movie.
    There's a huge joint family and the elder son of that family gets married to a girl from another family. This bride dies in a staircase mishap leaving her husband and new born son behind.
    The family decides to get this widower gets married to the younger sister of the dead girl. But no one knows that this younger sister is in love with the widower's younger brother. Finally the actual lovers become one.
    But
    If you want to know about Indian culture, families, bonding system and maily how elders are respected in out culture... You need to watch this movie.
    PS. You can ignore all the 14 songs if you want... But they also are a part of the movie. So it's your choice.
