Being an Arab from Qatar 🇶🇦, I have three sizes of this juice. I guess I got lucky with great prices .. 100 ml, 50 ml and 10 ml! I truly love it personally.. though I dont wear it all the time! ❤️ It is excellent indeed if it suits your taste and occasions 💯
You hit every point I had. 👏 the only comment I had was with versatility. This was made with the middle eastern market in mind so they have to live with the heat over there. Oud clouds everywhere no matter the season or time of day. I’m in Texas and I love wearing this….usually for special occasions though.
i think it all depends on who you are, that whole section of seasons, day or night, versatility that I do in my videos is just suggestions tbh but I hear ya.
Some people will buy just to own it, as a trophy, I do it for the magic, to experience that Aha! moment that the perfumer had in which he knows... this is it! When you're a creative you know when you have it and it's for that experience, that magical moment, that emotional story contained in the notes, that I buy fragrances. I will get this one eventually, I only need 50 ml even if that little voice in my head tells me to get the 100 ml... Great sampling Marc, thanks a million!!!
Got a 2021 batch. I dont get fecal or funky like everyone is saying. I immediately do get Oud/Rose combo we all know. I like it. I expected it to be more challenging also. I was mentally prepared because I did blind buy this fragrance. But I actually was pretty underwhelmed by the amount of ‘funk’ I was expecting. For example I also own Overture man from Amouage. I think that is a real challenge.
This is one of a handful of scents which nothing disturbes me. Perfumes can be sour at some stages, or feel synthetic, or just disapear from my perception. It´s like when I sampled "Oudh Infini" by Dusita. I saw reviews of how challenging it is but to me, surprsingly it was beautiful and my scent for a Mozart Concert. And "The NIght" is also beautiful to me, so I have to get a full bottle. And I do not have a big wallet by the way. It is also not barnyarde in any way to me. I just smell dense, massive wood and a Rose flair which makes a beautiful Perfume, I guess it is a timeless one. Thank you for this video, I couldn´t explain it detailed like you do:-)
I am in that group that did blind buy this a while back. You hit the nail on that this isn't exactly overly challenging. I'd actually prefer more funk. But it's the blend. I'd buy it again knowing what I know now
Got a 10ml decant of this and its a great fragrance but my issue of course is price... when you can get Bortnikoffs and ALD fragrances for a quarter or a third of the price it is hard to justify what Malle is asking for this... if I stumble across a vintage bottle at a steal from a friend I would go for it... the other thing for newer folks to oud as your nose matures these types of fragrances go from something that puts you off to something that you start to crave... so put your dirty oud frags aside and revisit this as the months and years go by 🐏
Oh no moment 😂 But yeah, the many facets of oud are what give it its fascinating and reverent qualities. Haven't ever been able to wear The Night out in public myself, but my courage is still a work in progress. 😅 I will say that you're spot on about the base. It just takes a while to get there on my skin.
Your review was spot on, i am use to different type of oud, since we burn it at home and i am use to it since i was a kid. After smelling this I really want a bottle, because i am use to the areej, ensar, bortnikoff etc. i am at a stage where stuff like this impresses me the most, but its so expensive, and i agree with your conclusions you are pretty spot on.
Excellent review! Cant wait for your Bortnikoff/Areej le dore reviews :) As you mentioned Bortnikoff in this video, I assume you have tried some of them!
Man if this is challenging to this hardcore guy, this certainly ain't for me. I tried a sample of The Moon, because it had lychee in it and I've been looking for a really good lychee fragrance, but I couldn't get past the oud in the moon! On a side note, can anyone recommend a good lychee fragrance? I LOVE the lychee note in a sample I have of Playing with the devil by Kilian, but it only lasts around 10 minutes and then after that is just straight rose, which is a bit much for me.
I always suggest Bortnikoff as a better value price wise versus The Night, though like you mention, you're not getting the experience of a perfumer like Ropion. Ironically, while I always enjoy your videos, any fraghead who's serious about buying The Night is probably best off just smelling it themselves. It's too polarizing IMHO.
You're one of the few reviewers whom I trust. No hype, no trends, just an oponian. What a breath of fresh air! Love your channel.
I appreciate that!
Wow …. A guy genuinely reviewing perfumes ….providing a service …..thank you…there aren’t many out there
that's what I do!

It is not, unfortunately.
I bought them from a person who works at their stores long ago!

Thank you for the comment and support! Love a good oud!
What ensar perfumes have you bought? They’re way more expensive than this perfume

Hey OG, are going to come back to this collection and do a Promise from the Frederic Malle desert gems review?
Actually I bought every single one of them, so the bottles will start showing up on the channel under unboxing and then test drives.
Good description I’ve tried it & It’s my next one
Hope you enjoy it!
Robes, always been curious, what field are you in for work? Aside from YouTubing ofcoarse
Having an oud that does smell "barnyardy" is not a sign of quality. Its a sign of an oud from a certain region and the way the oud has been destilled.
never said because it smells barnyardy it's quality. There's high end ouds that don't smell funky depending on type.
I have a bottle and it will last forever
Yes Rich, when you rotate this with all your Balenciaga Pour Homme bottles.
Back up thin label 😆
If you have the opportunity to sniff Tigre du Bengale Malbrum Parfums… high quality for the right price tag.
Just wrote the name down and will look into it.

Do you have Portrait of a Lady?
sure do!
Boadicea the victorious carbon sapphire is a much better rose oud
🧀
bruh so what's the most challenging oud that I can go buy?
Boadicea the victorious victory and Boadicea the victorious carbon sapphire. But the funkiest is victory by far
Boadicea the victorious nebulous is another banger 🔥
Also try muskara aquilaria fueguia $1000 bottle. The juice is the king of FUNKY
I just orderd full bottles of Dawn+Moon+Promise+Night and I'm now just looking for videos to justify my purchase 🫣
