    I’ve been watching your videos. I have a 2019 cascadia. I wanna update all power train software. Cpc, mcm, acm, tcm.

    Is it important to upgrade software on freightliners. I have used 2015 freightliner. Mechanic says I should, prior to any force regen. I have not updated any software since purchase of truck last year.

      Yes. I don’t know what software you have or if it is up to date or not, but software updates will help with many things including fixing certain fault codes.

    If you are trying to obtain accessibility to log into the server you will need to own the truck in your name/company name. Call the dealer and have them update the warranty database info. They will not supply you with professional access if you aren’t a repair business with documentation. The basic software cost me $500 from the website and is good for one year and doesn’t include programming access. The first year, they accidentally gave me pro access, when I renewed it was only basic. You can get a cracked version but you will not be able to connect to the server and if you try, it will block the software completely, it will shut down the program and will not open.

    @Alrey Industries , great content! Had a question though. On my DDDL, when I check to see if any updates are available it already has my truck vin and engine vin and when i click on send it show's all my computer components (ecm, acm, mcm ect.) So would i still have to clear my truck and engine vin and click on connect to server? Or since both of my vins are showing am I good to just update?

    Thanks for this video.
    My truck freightliner cascadia 2016
    New cpc was replaced to my truck recently.
    When I check the engine info by the dashboard setting.
    The screen showing almost 100k over the real mealge number the one was before with the old cpc
    How can I prove the real number 🤔
    If I put the truck on sale ?.
    Thank you..
    I called the freightliner dealership they was telling no program will fix this.

      I have never experienced this issue, so this is just what I would check first.
      If you have the Detroit software, hook up to the truck and click on the identification tab on the left. That will bring up all your modules.
      Find the cpc module information (it should be the very first one on the list), and check if the cpc has your truck’s correct vin and esn.
      If they programmed your cpc with the wrong data, it’s possible this could have caused the problem with mileage, but I’m not sure.
      If the cpc info does not match your truck info, follow the steps in this video to program your cpc and it may solve your problem.

    Ive been lookin at laptops loaded with software for dd13. When u got to the part where it asked u for ur user name and password how would i get one of them to continue u doin the updates?

    Hey , am new to the DD15 , is it a must that all the modules should have same vin nu.
    As Incase of breakdown or something we use used parts from other trks .
    Can it work without syncing them .

      I swap modules from different trucks from time to time. It is important that they sync, it can cause problems if you don’t reprogram certain modules when swapping them.
      I’m pretty sure you can do it by updating the modules like in this video or under the actions tab at the top of diagnostic link there is an option for synchronizing vin. You could try that as well.

    Is this the same process id use to reprogram a swapped ecm from donor truck into mine. My ambient air pressure sensor went caddy wampus. I have access to the software through company i contract through.

      Yes. It’s the same process. What kind of issue are you having if you don’t mind me asking? When you say the ambient air pressure sensor you mean the barometric pressure sensor right?

      @@alreyindustries yeah having turbo issues,throttle body deviation error and high intake boost, intake boost high during regen etc and alot of weird electrical issues after driving through an extreme rain event. Data link lost codes etc. Think it got moisture in it on top of the barometric pressure reading being all over the place.

    Is this standard diagnostic link or pro diagnostic link ? Can I update with standard diagnostic link ? Good video , I just changed CPC I figured it was plug and play . I had a hell of time with wires and connectors those numbers are barely visible. Everything is working , starts , etc ! Except the cruise clutch / the park brake/ service brake say open circuit … but the service brake turns off n lights when applied , real ease light all work, do I need to update everything like you did so it works correctly!!!! Let me know thanks

      If I go to cruise control screen I can see on bottom it says clutch open ( signal not available)- park brake (open green) - service brake pressed ( open red) so my cruise control don’t work and I cannot regen do to these ? On a good truck different vin and year like 3 years apart the cruise control screen is clutch open(grounded released and green) park brake ( grounded on red) service brake (released grounded green) so everything works on this one --so do I have to reprogram CPC- mcm- acm- and this truck is stick shift ? Let me k ow thanks ?

      You cannot program with standard diagnostic link. You can try comparing your parameters to see if maybe some of the parameters in the new CPC were different from your old and change those parameters. That might be your issue:

What happen is we had two CPC’s stolen and the cut wire so they took part of harness and all four connectors too the white, grey, brown, blue .. and the sister truck is also the one they stold CPC --so I would have to purchase diagnostic link pro to reprogram the CPC I have correct ?

      Usually communication codes can be resolved by updating the software but I couldn’t tell you 100% without looking at the codes and your software levels

      @@thesol0906 I just had some of those same codes and it was a bad battery. Disconnect your batteries and test each one individually. Check the voltage on them. See if any one of the batteries is abnormally low on voltage.

    Will a bad ecm make your truck just shut off? No check engine light or nothing just idles for a minute then cuts off. Shop can't figure it out so have to go to a Detroit dealership

      Does it cut off electrically or does the engine just cut off? Like, does your dash and everything go out or does the engine just die?

      @@alreyindustries the engine just cuts off. Then I try to restart it and it won't crank. Unless I turn the key off and let it cycle like a 1st start. If I try to hurry up and drive it, it just cuts off. Shop said it gets fuel so it must be ecm or sam?

      They plugged into it but said nothing popped up on their laptop. So they were lost

      Should be similar. If you download the software information from the server it should store the proper ACM software. Then, going through this process should program your new ACM with the stored software from the server.

      Mark Martin if you are reprogramming the acm or mcm, I forget which module that code sets in, then yes I’m pretty sure it will.

      I would do an SCR test and see if it passes. If it passes and the codes are still there then I would try updating the software like this video.
      If it fails, it should tell you why it failed and you can go from there.

    How’s it going brother just replaced my cpc4 on a 2016 freightliner cascadia however when I replaced it it gives me code spn 961 fmi 2 don’t know why so already tried resetting the clock and powering off for 30 seconds any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

      Truck began to idle on its own l was giving gas like crazy when plugged in it threw several codes from the cpc4

      @@miguelitomentado5621 I’m not sure man. From what I’m reading the troubleshooting says if you have that code then you replace the CPC.
      I would update all of your other modules if you haven’t already especially the MCM. Key off after everything is all done and see if that does anything.
      After that I would try comparing the CPC you just installed with Detroit diagnostic link’s server information. Someone would have to know what they are doing in diagnostic link, go under the parameters tab, and compare parameters. You can compare your CPC’s parameters to the highest software version parameters for your vin, as well as compare your CPC’s parameters to the old CPC you took off if you connected to that CPC with the same computer before replacing it. If the parameters are different you can change the parameters in the new CPC to the old and that might fix the issue.
      Other than that I don’t really know what else to do without being there and seeing things for myself.

      When you say Detroit, do you mean the diagnostic link program or do you mean an actual person from Detroit?
      Did you do the “remove all” and refresh the software step, then “add request” before connecting to server?

      @@pat4532Password and login will cost you nothing but software does. All you need is your truck to be under your name. Go to dealer and tell them to update Warranty registration form. They will ask for your pink slip and update the database. If you got your Freightliner truck brand new under your name you can contact DTNA to get password and account. The password and login will be issued to you. Then you need to buy diagnostic link software professional version. Professional Program will cost you about $1000 or more for a year subscription. Regular one doesn't have programming options and it cost around $500 to 600 per a year. If you have a cracked software and you enter your DTNA login and password it will not connect to Server.
