Ina Garten's Vodka Sauce {Best Vodka Sauce Ever}

- This is a longtime favorite recipe from Ina Garten's Foolproof. I've made a few small changes to it over the years. The original recipe calls for draining the tomatoes and saving the juice for future use. The juice freezes just fine, but I always found the step a little annoying and wondered how it would turn out if you skipped the draining step. Turns out: just fine! I also like to use fresh basil as opposed to the combination of fresh and dried oregano.

It was so wholesome to hear the piano being taught in the background and left in like it was the soundtrack. I love this planet sometimes. (Also I agree, Ina’s Vodka Sauce is the best ever)
This recipe is to die for! It's just a tiny bit labor intensive but well worth the effort. I added a little chopped carrot to the sautéed onions for a natural sweetness and a rind of parmesan cheese when the mix went into the oven. I too enjoyed the kids and piano in the background.
Well done.
Making it again right now in oven ! With foccacia bread (left it exactly 70 hours in fridge OMG! the bubbles). I’m adding grilled shrimp to the pasta. EVERYONE WATCHING THIS VIDEO. ITS THE BEST RECIPE!
looks great
That’s the most steps I’ve seen for a sauce, but I know it’s gotta be so worth it 🤤 Ina doesn’t play, I trust her with my life
:) :) :). Totally. There are much faster vodka sauces, but this one has soooo much flavor. I think the slow roast in the oven really makes a difference.
My top favorite vodka sauce recipe I make this often
That looks good! Oh man. Thats next level right there. Planning on making a drunken grandma pie tonight Would! Would I be able to save a portion of the sauce and freeze it?
Strait to the point! Nice.
OMG your recipes look amazing...can't wait to try them!
Ovens on the fritz can i do this in a dutch oven on my stove top? How high of a flame do you think if even possible? Thank you!!!! And yours looked great!
That's exactly how I do it as well! I just add some parmesan to the sauce as well :)
Can't go wrong with parm in the sauce :) :) :)
God that looks so good lol
Do you mind sharing what knife you use? ❤️❤️
Hi! Yes, I use this Opinel 8-inch chef's knife: www.opinel-usa.com/collections/intempora-kitchen-knives/products/opinel-intempora-full-tang-chef-knife
How much garglic, onions, oil, cans of tomato, etc. would I need if I was cooking for 10 people. Say two or three bags of pasta ?
I would say double the ingredients and use 2 or 3 bags of pasta.
Could you imagine if we could smell this stuff?’
💕💕💕💕💕
More videos on youtube do this wrong than you would believe. Yours is correct. Vodka before the tomatoes.
The sauce I like but with penne
I asked for the vodka sauce recipe from Ina Garten!!!
Not Alexandria's Kitchen.
Didn't ad pasta water 😨😨
Pasta water is where the magic is at!
@@kaitline1183 That might be the answer
@@kaitline1183 A lot of these pictured Vodka sauce pasta look dry
Why add vodka if it has no taste??
I was wondering that myself. There’s gotta be a reason…
@@karenlawson4888 i think it brings out the other flavors....if not then yea vodka is just a gimmick
Why wouldn't I just watch Ina Gartner cook her own recipe?
Doesn't look creamy enough,, dry pasta
Like my pasta swimming in creamy sauce.
Would be brill if there was actually sound to the video. LIke, WTF? How many tomatoes, etc. Then your kids come home and I get to hear them play piano. Great recipe; however, you need to keep the audience interested and uplifted. Watched it 3 times and same comments every time. No real instructions and no real recipe.
