Good points on some of these tricky questions. I answered mine that I can no longer shop for random items, but only grocery items at 20 min max time total, every other day for small items. I did state that I lean on the cart if larger items are needed for a longer time. I have issues walking due to spinal stenosis and heart. Have lightheaded and dizziness issues where I've passed out and ambulance was called 3x over 2 yrs.
I did get approval 1st time, used atty, 62 and 40 yrs of work history. My case took 12 mths for approval. 🎉❤

The other conflict to be aware of is if one has a dog(s), how do you manage walking them ? I have a large backyard for my 2 Sr dogs since I cannot walk them like 10 yrs ago so they go out and run around and play and chase each other. So I basically looked at each question and thought of how it could be turned to a negative and explained how it was handled relating to my disabilities. I read all the questions first before answering them and noted the ones that were possibly conflicting. Also cooking and standing over the stove top, said can only manage simple cooking. Just my 2 cents in what worked for me in winning.
It's truly a long, tedious and grueling process and having an atty up front is so important IMO. They reviewed my application and were able to get all my medical files since I stated that I couldn't drive on many days to run around getting files. If one says disabled, then it's important to think of what you're doing at home that can question disability. I had to cancel Dr appts due to illness, and I sent in my work attendance records from HR that showed being out 2 days per month and off task more than 20%. I feel all the details provided to DDS review really helped my odds and winning on listing level. Just some thoughts on how to help in this long process and win at the initial level. Otherwise another possible year / 2. The atty fee is small in comparison to waiting so get it right ✅️ at the beginning.

I will say that FR in my experience doesn't cause the win itself - but it WILL prevent a loss that would otherwise be a win on medical evidence. The exception may be if one may go to hearing, an ALJ MAY use it more - but still, not for a win when medical evidence is not well-supportive. Great posts Diane and thank you!
