I am 55 years old. I Have pink floyd, Genesis, aerosmith, thin lizzy as some of my favorites....but this song and all of m83 blows me away. Like before I die, I need to see m83 live. Don't need a bucket list. Just M83 live This music "is" me...
I felt the same way about 12 years ago and I finally got to see Gonzalez and the band, in Oxford, after the release of Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. It was ultimately very dull and me and my mate where the oldest people in the audience by a couple of generations. He did some epic tracks but live he's just a bit too EDM.

I am just now learning about this man and M83, i just knew the name until now and what you describe rings true and i am trying to make sense of these epic, biutiful and sparse pieces fitting together with the way more edm kind of stuff that he does and also presents his whole project like that too somehow, no? Very mainstream in a way, but some of those pieces are incredibly biutiufl.@@MrSquonkster

Imagine meeting a person who‘s just so much into this music as much as you. And they trust you and are able to be honest and vulnerable around you. And you are also able to do the same.. and then you become one while drifting away into very bright light with this music playing in the background.

The words 'before the dawn heals us' has so much meaning to me. When I feel shit, it's always late at night and alone. When the morning comes, I get a new burst of new hope. This music also reminded me of travel

I guess it's more natural for most people to feel alone at night because statistically, you're more likely to be alone at home, trying to sleep than say work and or school or whatever (again, speaking broadly, because schedules vary). But it could also be a sign of being bi-polar (just a possibility, not a diagnosis) if the feelings are severe and contrasting enough.
I feel you my friend. I Iough through the day...but at night? If feel so alone...but the idea of the next morning always gives me hope. And hey...I have a Date next Sunday...so...wish me luck.

Didn't intended to have a wedding song ( we eloped) but when I was ready and going down the stairs, this song started to play, it just felt magical. I closed my eyes for a second and felt something inside of me, indescribable. I will never forget it.
You need an extremely extremely special moment in life to even get close to the emotions running through this track. Or to ever be able to feel befitting of having this song play in the background

Or just the ability to enjoy music, and not be some pretentious jackass that thinks they are part of an elite class of human that has lived life to a fuller extent than others, with cinematic moments that elevate their lives above other plebeian existences, and have earned the very special privilege to enjoy a song more than them.
LOl this track have potential to make special moment from any ordinary moment, thats the real magic of music. This point of view is so arrogant and stupid, you dont really love music if you need some fucking special moments too.

I listened to this song at a pivotal moment in my life, where I knew what I had to do for my kids. This decision would effect them and me for the rest of our lives. Because my kids stole my heart the day they were born I owed it them, to do whatever was necessary to be there every way possible. the circumstances for why I left were unpleasant and I knew after I came back things would be worse. ultimately I fought through it all only the with the love of my kids as the driving force. I owe it all to them. Thank you M83 for being a part of all of it. To my kids I love you so much.
