I get the sense from years of you mentioning your previous ownership of the Diavel that it’s the One That Got Away. Like the Hallmark movies that my wife watches occasionally, you’ll only find happiness when you reconnect with the One That Got Away, and the MT-07 is the rebound date that ultimately turns out to be a mismatch. Don’t fight the love any longer, the movie would say, and instead embrace it and happiness will be yours forever. I mean, Hallmark wouldn’t lie about True Love, right…?
I truly love this lil MT-07, it is such an enjoyable bike to ride with nice grunt and so lightweight flickable. If I do get another bike the MT-07 is staying along with my YZ450FX supermoto. It is time to collect bikes not sell them.
30K for a V4 that doesn't even sound like a V4? And worse than the Ducati Streetfighter? When the far more reliable Yamaha MT-10 SP with the high-end, electronic Öhlins suspension and the amazing CP4 engine is less than 20K... LOL.
I just checked and I believe I got the price wrong, the price will be $26,395 U.S. However, after a destination fee, set up fee, dealer fees plus taxes it will be over $30k.

I think a single semi rectangular exhaust can, like picture the ones on the Rune, rather than the four it has. Although it does look pretty cool as is.
💯 Just add an aftermarket exhaust to get rid of those two cats and add some proper sound to the bike. They made it look much better than the Diavel 1260.

Diavel is one of the sexiest bikes ever made…. It is not a sport bike or a touring bike so those comparisons don’t make much sense…. I have ridden just about everything and would say it is the best for in-town riding- light to light ripping it up… for curves give me the Tuono, track R6, touring GS 1250 or HD Road glide….
$30k for a bike that has nothing really special going for it is completely insane. Ducati sales are going to fall on their face if this is their new plan. I bought the 2016 Multistrada S, that was not cheap at 22k with accessories. If you want a new Multi that has 17 inch wheels you have to get the Pike's Peak that is also $30k. Easy solution, I'll buy a Kawi or a Yamaha next time.
There must be an S version to come. I have a 1260S, and I was hoping that the new Diavel would have electronic suspension like the Streetfighter V4S, Multistrada & Panigale.
They 200% will have one come out down the road. Ducati can’t fix every quirk at once or there will be no reason to buy the newer bikes that come out. Gotta leave some things to change in 2 years to make people feel like they need up upgrade. But I agree, I had a 1299s and it’s surprising to hear the diavel still doesn’t have the adaptive electric suspension.
I'm scared of all the tech, 2 cylinders cut off at stops. lol Something is bound to break on that bike, whoever gets this first gen bike will be spending a lot time at the dealership dealing with recalls. We'll see how it fairs after a couple of years when they iron out the problemss.
I kinda don’t like it, it looks more up right like a streetfighter, not to mention, its mainly supposed to be a cruiser, fuck hp, i worry about that with my panigale, i just want to cruise with this
Actually, I initially had a deposit on a 2022 Ducati Diavel 1260 S but couldn't find a shipper. I might be adding a third bike and this is a consideration but I know there will be problems with this bike being a first gen.
Hey@@CycleCruza, I don't know if you can really call it a first gen when the engine is tried and true, the first gen was probably the Multistrada V4 and it's had great reviews from the little I've seen so far. I love the motorcycle, but engine is terrible to look at, it seems made of plastic. Well it's an improvement over the xdiavel which has 2 wewe machined on it
I don’t think of comfort when I think cruiser. I used too. I had 5 Harley’s and one of them was a bagger. Now that I have an MT-09 I can definitely say naked bikes are more comfortable. So if comfort and touring is what I want I’m going sport touring or adv. I don’t consider the Diavel a cruiser either. I consider it a muscle naked.
That sticker price is too much imo if true. Could get a Streetfighter V2 or V4 for less then buy all new gear. Hell could get a Panigale V4 S for less. You'd really have to want a muscle cruiser to pay that price.
Yeah that is price is crazy high. I cannot justify spending that much money for that bike. It is cool but not 30k cool. I'll have just as much fun on my MT-07.
Such a supreme machine...but dang....$30,000? There's so many other competive bikes out there for less 💰. Still though...if you got the money to spend during these inflationary times ...go for it.....its an amazing machine to own.
Less torque, worse fuel efficiency, questionable aesthetics, a higher price tag and 6K for the racing exhaust all before taxes🙄For me, I'd stick with the 1260. This for me is just a meh🤭
The multistrada v4 claims 170hp and its top speed is about 250kmph (155mph), so I would take the 168 horses of the diavel v4 with a pinch of salt... Granted aerodinamics have a lot to do with the dissapointing top speed of the multistrada, but the diavel 1260 has "just" 162hp and it reaches 272kmph (170mph) while having more torque all across the rpm range. I don't know... so far, doesn't look like this v4 is worth 30.000 fking €. Thats mv agusta levels of money... just insane.
Definetely NOT better looking than the 1260s - especially the Black and Steel version. Over all a bike that lacks identity without doing anything particularly good.
At $30,000.00 it seems you either spend it on frequent and costly maintenance with a Ducati or pay it upfront via its purchase price. Fuggin nice bike, nonetheless.

I don't like the complex engine. Shutting off cylinders intermittently is a bad idea. Probably going to cause problems.
I hate that feature in cars and trucks. Like you said, that will cause more problems.
All the v4 ducatis I own do it, and even the diavel 1260s had cylinder shutoff. Never had a issue in the 25k miles I’ve ridden on the v4s tho.

$30k for a bike that has nothing really special going for it is completely insane. Ducati sales are going to fall on their face if this is their new plan.
I bought the 2016 Multistrada S, that was not cheap at 22k with accessories. If you want a new Multi that has 17 inch wheels you have to get the Pike's Peak that is also $30k. Easy solution, I'll buy a Kawi or a Yamaha next time.
There must be an S version to come. I have a 1260S, and I was hoping that the new Diavel would have electronic suspension like the Streetfighter V4S, Multistrada & Panigale.
They 200% will have one come out down the road. Ducati can’t fix every quirk at once or there will be no reason to buy the newer bikes that come out. Gotta leave some things to change in 2 years to make people feel like they need up upgrade. But I agree, I had a 1299s and it’s surprising to hear the diavel still doesn’t have the adaptive electric suspension.
That would be nice is they did but they won't.

Stop Playing C.C. get that Bike. The Pros out way the Cons by a dam Mile. Those V-4 sound the same as the Twins.
I'm scared of all the tech, 2 cylinders cut off at stops. lol Something is bound to break on that bike, whoever gets this first gen bike will be spending a lot time at the dealership dealing with recalls. We'll see how it fairs after a couple of years when they iron out the problemss.

Actually, I initially had a deposit on a 2022 Ducati Diavel 1260 S but couldn't find a shipper. I might be adding a third bike and this is a consideration but I know there will be problems with this bike being a first gen.
Hey@@CycleCruza, I don't know if you can really call it a first gen when the engine is tried and true, the first gen was probably the Multistrada V4 and it's had great reviews from the little I've seen so far. I love the motorcycle, but engine is terrible to look at, it seems made of plastic. Well it's an improvement over the xdiavel which has 2 wewe machined on it

I don’t think of comfort when I think cruiser. I used too. I had 5 Harley’s and one of them was a bagger. Now that I have an MT-09 I can definitely say naked bikes are more comfortable. So if comfort and touring is what I want I’m going sport touring or adv. I don’t consider the Diavel a cruiser either. I consider it a muscle naked.

That sticker price is too much imo if true. Could get a Streetfighter V2 or V4 for less then buy all new gear. Hell could get a Panigale V4 S for less. You'd really have to want a muscle cruiser to pay that price.
Yeah that is price is crazy high. I cannot justify spending that much money for that bike. It is cool but not 30k cool. I'll have just as much fun on my MT-07.

Such a supreme machine...but dang....$30,000? There's so many other competive bikes out there for less 💰. Still though...if you got the money to spend during these inflationary times ...go for it.....its an amazing machine to own.

Less torque, worse fuel efficiency, questionable aesthetics, a higher price tag and 6K for the racing exhaust all before taxes🙄For me, I'd stick with the 1260. This for me is just a meh🤭
Agreed! I’m hoping that a 2023 1260S is coming, with that new screen and other 2023 improvements… I was just about to buy a 2022 1260S.
The multistrada v4 claims 170hp and its top speed is about 250kmph (155mph), so I would take the 168 horses of the diavel v4 with a pinch of salt... Granted aerodinamics have a lot to do with the dissapointing top speed of the multistrada, but the diavel 1260 has "just" 162hp and it reaches 272kmph (170mph) while having more torque all across the rpm range.
I don't know... so far, doesn't look like this v4 is worth 30.000 fking €. Thats mv agusta levels of money... just insane.

Awesome bike, but for that price I’d still choose a Rocket 3.
The Rocket 3 is way heavier and got blown away by the previous Diavel 1260 in a drag race.
Definetely NOT better looking than the 1260s - especially the Black and Steel version. Over all a bike that lacks identity without doing anything particularly good.
That black steel looks real nice. Appearance is subjective, nobody will ever agree on the beauty of a bike.

This bike looks far worse than the 2-cylinder Diavel. This one looks far less like a Muscle Bike and more like a naked. Disappointing.
