We are given the gifts of the Holy Spirit for our own sanctification and to build up the Body of Christ. In this talk, Jackie discusses the gifts of the Holy Spirit through stories and examples. She concludes her talk by paraphrasing St. Paul: we are given these gifts to love, and without love, we are nothing.

Eddie, it is not having "faith" that is needed but in uncertainty belief. "faith" separated from thinking is used as a non-economic status inducement to obtain cheap insurance and tax exempt status for charities meaning lower bills for these diseased families using their more psychologically and or emotionally vulnerable family members in this way. So used, some act out, including by sexual abuse.

@@artmomcg Thank you so much. I'm 62 and have been incarcerated since I was 23. I'm waiting to hear something from the parole board now. Getting out of prison is not the most important thing... loving God and living a holy life wherever I may be is most important, but I'd love to be able to spend my latter years with my grandchildren and others I love.

I love your heart and the way God uses you to grow Him Kingdom. I prayed over my mom a few weeks ago. I will continue to pray over her to relieve her pain. I intend to do the Rosary you spoke about too. Mary has spoken to me so much this year and it has been amazing to see how her intercession are working.
Starting my rosary from today for many reasons. Also adding all who have commented here and need to be prayed for. Watch out for answers 7th July is the 27th day. Have faith and believe changes will take place. God bless

Your testimony has been a wonderful blessing to me. Beginning just before Lent 2022, I've been led by the daily gospel reflection of Bishop Barron, and have had the most wonderful Easter Season of my life at the age of 66, and have found myself evangelizing to everybody I come into contact with daily. My 4th Day learned within a Tres Dias weekend of '94 has once again become alive.

I prayed really hard for a guy (rosary) that he will be the one. But I felt myself wanting to be open to him not being the one. And then I started having my eyes open and then started actually praying that Mary handled everything as I feared he won't be the one. Until I wanted to break up with him and started praying for signs to make this easier. I broke up with him. Didn't feel fun at all, the whole reality shock and disappointment. And I genuinely didn't like the idea. But in the long run, I'm so happy Mary opened my eyes. At a point, when I was praying the rosary and I could feel Mary saying "are you sure you want to marry? I don't want that for you". I'm super generalistic in prayer so now I'm doing this 54 novena, I want to get really specific.
I love you Heavenly Father even as I struggle to provide for my two autistic children I always remember to keep faith in God, since losing my job for declining the vaccine. Things have been very hard. I declined because I have pre existing health condition Lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption by Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, so I’m all alone. No family nor friends. Every month I don’t know how we are going to make it. Every month is a struggle. But every month God provides. Thank you father for that. I’m so embarrassed of my situation. I’m so tired of struggling every month and being put down over my circumstances or accused of lying simply because I post comments. Again just evil lies to hurt me. NO MATTER WHAT I have Faith that God will provide! He is faithful. He knows my heart! He will save me and my children from poverty. IN JESUS name. Please pray for me and my boys.

This is true! I had suffered Rheumatoid Arthritis for 10 years, and had healed by Jesus 4 years ago. The amazing grace is my faith is strong, loving Eucharist Adoration every early morning at St Veronica !

Jackie Angel, the summary of your talk given here reflects Bishop Barron's ethical utilitarian consequentialism in asserting a paraphrase of St. Paul as: "we are given these gifts to love, and without love, we are nothing." True gift and true need are covenant, non-presumed reciprocity, not consequential. St Paul at 1 Cor 7: 25-34 is ethically utilitarian consequential in his "opinion" purporting presuming consecrated celibacy was a higher vocation than male female marriage.
