There isn't enough Democrats or Independents in the world to make up for the lack of GOP vote Haley would get. Most Democrats will vote Biden and many Independents will as well. Haley will lose regardless. Literally only CNN/MSNBC viewers think otherwise.

It’s a pretty simple concept: Trump needs a ton of people to have gone from not supporting him five or six years ago, to in his camp now. I’m not saying that is impossible, it’s just the amount of people he needs to switch doesn’t seem like they actually exist. Like who is going over to that side since Covid or after Trump left office?
He just simply doesn’t have the ability to reach that many people in the center, or on the soft left.
On top of that, there’s a component to Biden, where some of the original opposition to him was that he’s a Marxist, and a communist, and a radical. And then reality has shown a light on that, and there’s probably a decent chunk of people in the center who would vote for him now, who maybe wouldn’t have four or five years ago. Just simply because reality has proven that he’s what he always was, which is just a moderate Democrat who is pretty much straight down the line and extremely consistent.

Disappointing that the Democrat here would not encourage everyone to vote in the R primary. OK. He does not like some of what Haley has done. But Haley wouldn't be nearly as bad as Mr. Trump. If his strategy is use Haley to damage Trump, then the better she does in SC, the more damage she causes down the line.
And if she gets nominated, well, that may be a bigger risk to Biden, yes. Still worth it. Haley as President would not be a disaster. Trump as President will be.

I'm a Dem and will vote Biden and Blue all through, but I am grateful that we're at least hearing some truth out of Haley, just one of a handful of Republicans willing to talk honestly about Trump. I don't think she's gonna be the Rep prez candidate, but at least she's not "kissing the ring." 🤮

I voted for Trump twice. I wouldn't consider myself as a Never Trumper (I am Never Biden however). However, the chaos and the hot temper is too much and he is hurting the party. January 6, 2021 and especially 2022 midterm was the deal breaker. Nikki isn't perfect but I rather cast my vote for her than Trump.

Are things really that bad today? Inflation getting better, we're repairing our bridges and highways, relations with our allies are (mostly) good again. Why would anyone say they wouldn't vote for Biden when Biden and all his great team are right now today doing a perfectly good job?

As a Dem, I can say that she is spot on that we are hoping Trump is the nominee because he’s easy to beat whereas Nikki is a very solid intelligent GOP candidate that Biden would struggle to keep up with.

Haley's in the toughest spot - getting daily slammed by both Trump and the mediawho realizes she'd easily defeat Biden. (A good indicator of a candidate's strength is the rise of negative comments on forums like this.) A Dutch friend asked about Nikki Haley. I said she was nice, coherent, supported America's leadership role, like our allies, hated dictators, was fiscally conservative, did not throw temper tantrums or tweet all night - in other words (I said ) the exact opposite of Trump. He said, "Will she win?" I told him of course not. The GOP base is Trumps and democrats see Trump as the only candidate who might lose to Biden.
