- Learn how to use the Disc Cinch plus some other popular We R tools to create your own school notebook with Renee Day. Shop supplies at local independent or online craft retailers.
Step One
Create the cover. With The Works tool, trim patterned paper to 7x10 then score and fold each edge to .75.”
Step Two
Using scissors, make inverted rounded corners, add adhesive, and wrap the edges of the patterned paper around the paperboard. Cover the inner inside cover with patterned paper that measures 5.25x8.25. Repeat steps one and two for the back cover. Decorate the cover (optional).
Step Three
Create tab dividers. With the We R Mini Evolution and Eclectic Vintage Dies, grab the tab and paperclip dies and run it through the machine (create 12 tabs and a few paperclips). Add tabs to trimmed patterned papers that measure 5.5x8.5.
Step Four
Use the Disc Cinch as directed and put the notebook together using the binding discs.

Hi! 😊 What is the thickness of the paperboard, please? I tried with 2mm and it always get damaged while inserting the discs, because it seems it's too hard.

I am making a notebook that my inside pages measure 5.5 x 8.5. Can my fromt and back cover as well as my dividers be the same size as my pages ?
Hi! Yes, they can but it’s harder to see dividers if they’re the same width as the pages. Generally they stick out past the pages so you can find them and the covers are the same width as the dividers so they don’t get bent. We also recommend the covers extending past the pages 1/8 inch on the top and bottom to protect your pages from getting bent.
They are very nice products, but with the price of all of them, maybe you can buy a Cricut and do it all there. The only two I’d buy would be the Cynch and the all in one.
Great thought. We love electronic cutting machines as well, but sometimes it takes too long to get the machine out, plug it in, open the software, design a project, add material to the mat, etc. Sometimes it quicker to pull out a punch board or a manual tool and just get the job done. 😉
A tool for everything except those inverted rounded corners. Could use some help with that.

Disc cinch is available on eshop in France, Belgium and Spain like lots of products Wrmk and some American craft products.
Maybe another countries too but I don't know enough eshop in the rest of Europe.
