It’s the Fourth of July, and Gotham City is besieged by a new threat: the mysterious Rat King and his cultish devotees. Public officials have been abducted, including Batman associates Commissioner Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent. The Rats have pledged to execute them in one week’s time for “crimes committed against the people of Gotham City.”
As widespread rioting engulfs the city, Batman races to prevent this so-called “Day of Wrath,” but it all goes wrong.
Batman: Arkham Shadow is set between the events of Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Asylum, and features the origins of iconic characters like The Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, and more, as Batman grapples with the contradiction at the core of his identity-the use of force in pursuit of peace.

I'll admit.
Having Roger Craig Smith as the voice actor for Batman was one of the best decisions WB games has made in a list of hundreds of bad ones.
He did a perfect job in Arkham Origins and this is Arkham Origins 3 basically so yeah

VR is significantly cheaper and quicker to develop than a AAA title. And given that we just got a game in February (quality aside it did take years of development) it’s better than nothing.

Easily possible in VR. VR doesn't always have to be you embodying the character. VR can be 3rd person gaming too. Being immersed in the world with depth is what counts not seeing the world out of a small 2d window.

its my opinion this is new era for arkham verse, after they fail on sskjl. they make this game just for audience who miss arkham batman, and this game maybe just a start after they release this project they will make another AAA batman games. fans waiting for 10 years to get another batman games, wb was canceling batman beyond project and choose to end arkham verse with sskjl, and after so many people love arkham knight and modding that game, hope wb realise their mistakes. 2nd person view means _you_ (the player) see yourself through the eyes of *another* character, NPC/companion/etc.
Your character's actions (your inputs) are witnessed by this separate person.
Think of it like the old RE/SH/DC games with Fixed Camera angles.
Now, instead of a camera, you have someone else's eyes as the medium.
