I was waiting/hoping for a Watch 7 Classic, but alas, so I'm definitely getting the Watch 6 Classic. It looks classy and importantly the rotating bezel is key. I dislike the Ultra coz the squircle (round screen on square body) is just a silly idea. They should have made the whole screen a squircle if anything, especially since they dropped the rotating bezel on it.
Just get the watch 7 44mm there are attachments you can get to add a rotating bezel to it. The upgrade in processing power and sensor from the 6 to the 7 is too big to ignore.
Not sure if you bought it yet, but the Watch 7 has a touch bezel that responds exactly like the Watch 6 Classic's rotating bezel. Essentially it's a digital rotating bezel as opposed to analog. I have the watch 6 classic my gf has the 7.
Trade in Watch 5 pro, used points & e-voucher for both Watch 7 ultra(Orange, really like the new looks, refreshing) and buds 3 pro(Silver). Can't wait to test them with my S24 Ultra. Good video 👍

Very well compiled and to the point! 👍🏼 I am sticking to my Watch 6 Classic. The rotating bezel is too precious for me to lose. Not sure why Samsung in all it's wisdom (or lack of it) keeps trying to follow in Apple's footsteps when they have better innovations and superior offerings. Stick to what's good and build up on it vs. trying these stunts and disappointing loyal customers!

If fitness is not a top priority, then you can go with a 6. If you want a sleek and stylish watch that won't obstruct your shirt sleeves, take the Ultra and Pro off your list.

I feel like those might have better value down the road, and I also think the battery would work better on either just because I've been using this one for a year already. But I still like the style on the 6 Classic best, so I'll probably hold firm and risk the decreased trade-in value down the line.

I'm still rocking my first gen galaxy watch and am heavily debating on an upgrade. Issue is I hate the look of smart watches. On numerous occasions I've had people comment not realizing it's a smart watch (metal band/ bezel ring added on) and that's kept me from upgrading. Didn't realize the classic series exists. Wish I could find a side by side of the 1st Gen vs the 6 classic but hey, now I know the current options.
Still using huwaei gt 2 from 2019. Works great with 1 week battery but biggest problem is with the app crashing with android 14 because of ban and no updates for app

I m using watch 6 classic and it definitely looks lit 🔥🔥 But the problem with this watch is its chipset. The scrolling, switching between apps doesnt look smooth and seemless like an apple watch. Its the same with all samsung watches. So just doesnt want to shell extra money on ultra for this exynos chipsets and wear os.😢

Although they have camera system for 200mp in ultra, they dont wanna upgrade the same to fold z6. They slowly increase by 10mp or 20 mp everytime and bring it to 200mp by fold z 20. 🤣

I only got it about a year ago, right before the 6 came out, and I thought I was guaranteed at least 3 years of updates. I don't even have my loan on it paid off yet... WTF??? Samsung should continue to support it's previous products, not just abandon their customers, and try to push them into an unnecessary upgrade cycle. When I buy tech I expect it to last to get my money's worth.
Interestingly, no mention of blood pressure monitoring in any of the current reviews. I have used the Dante workaround to enable it on my 4 cl, 5 pro and 6 cl and hope when I transfer the data from the watch 5 I'm trading-in it will end up on my new Ultra. I use it daily to track my BP and calibrate all watches monthly. it would be nice if they finally convince the FDA to approve

Somehow it feels like samsung is now more focus on aesthetics of their products, be it watches or phones..minimal upgrades with more beautification, that's sad..
the apple ultra has the coolest design. i'm no apple fan, but i admit it looks cool. but i'm not part of the apple ecosystem and they got hit by lawsuit for some feature, so not an option for me. i know some people mocked the 7 ultra for its indecision between a box and circle design, but i was ok with it but i can understand their view on the matter. but to me it looks fine. then there is the popularity of the rotating bezel. looks useful. but the 7 ultra comes with new features, so with that factored in, i'd rather just get the latest ultra. but i would not be surprised either if people went for the rotating bezel version and for cheaper. personally i went with the 7 ultra because that would pair well with my s24 ultra smartphone. i wouldn't recommend it to others unless you could afford it in your budget. and even then only if you have a samsung galaxy smartphone to pair it with.
just an update on the rotating bezel. it's not as bad but some people still insist they want it. the story is, you can still rotate but by using ur finger on the screen rather than the bezel. you hook ur finger along the edges of the circular screen, to swipe in a circle rotation to achieve the same function. that works for me. i saw a demo of an older galaxy smart watch where that didn't so well, but in this galaxy 7 watch, seems they reworked that and the rotating via screen worked fine.
A shame there is no Watch 7 classic.... I waited for the 7 series to be released to upgrade from a og galaxy watch; I'll probably go for a watch 6 classic 47mm
6 classic is already a very good looking elegant watch that you can customize to your's hearts content. It can be a sporty look if you use a black bands, it can be party watch if you make it stainless or even a camel bands... the galaxy watch ultra now looks like a huge chunk of sporty watch only.. 😅

No rotating bezel, no purchase. Had a 3, 4, and loved it. The 6 classic had issues when it came out, so returned it and got my 1st without a rotating bezel, 5 pro. I really miss the rotating bezel and it sucks without the bezel rotation. Now was waiting for the 7 with the rotating bezel to buy it. I would have even paid $700 for the 7 ultra but none have the bezel. Maybe the watch 8 will.

The battery life on most new models is quite poor. I got the watch 5 pro and Im not tempted by either new variant. How does Huawei manage to have a weeks battery on their watches and thats including health tracking. Plus all other notifications..
Huawei is the best looking and battery imo but huge downside no android and google wallet with nfc , like the most important feature for smartwatch is missing with Huawei
My watch 5 pro battery doesn't last more than 2 days anymore. It's frustrating. That's on powersaving mode too. I opted for the ultra for the better chipset as it will help with that. I assume it all the updates with the 5 pro that's killed the battery.
It won't. The problem is wear OS. It's too heavy for a small watch. Even with two seperate chips ( one is SD) OnePlus 2watch can only get 3days battery 😢
I would say no. My 5 Pro lasts 2 days, but the bigger issue is the lag. It has grown quite sluggish after latest software updates and occasionally takes 15-20 seconds to start tracking a run. The lagginess is why I am considering trading it in for either a 7 LTE or the Ultra (although the Ultra doesn't seem worth double the cost).

Yeah same here...but didn't book lte...thought bluetooth is ok. LTE is good to have? Instead of fit I ordered buds2 pro for 4800 post 4999 discount

They will not offer a mechanical rotating bezel on a rugged watch, which can easily fail if the watch is used as intended.

Samsung decided to do the Ultra-models every second year and every Classic-model every second year. There will be a Galaxy Watch 8 Classic (with rotating bezel) & a Galaxy watch 9 Ultra (without rotating beze in order to uphold promises regarding water resistance etc.)

No rotating bezel, no purchase. Had a 3, 4, and loved it. The 6 classic had issues when it came out, so returned it and got my 1st without a rotating bezel, 5 pro. I really miss the rotating bezel and it sucks without the bezel rotation. Now was waiting for the 7 with the rotating bezel to buy it. I would have even paid $700 for the 7 ultra but none have the bezel. Maybe the watch 8 will.

The battery life on most new models is quite poor. I got the watch 5 pro and Im not tempted by either new variant. How does Huawei manage to have a weeks battery on their watches and thats including health tracking. Plus all other notifications..
Huawei is the best looking and battery imo but huge downside no android and google wallet with nfc , like the most important feature for smartwatch is missing with Huawei

My watch 5 pro battery doesn't last more than 2 days anymore. It's frustrating. That's on powersaving mode too. I opted for the ultra for the better chipset as it will help with that. I assume it all the updates with the 5 pro that's killed the battery.
Factory reset may help.
My watch 5 pro still powers through. 3-4 days before charging.

It won't. The problem is wear OS. It's too heavy for a small watch. Even with two seperate chips ( one is SD) OnePlus 2watch can only get 3days battery 😢

Yes it is. I get 3 days. But it will get traded in for the ultra.
I would say no. My 5 Pro lasts 2 days, but the bigger issue is the lag. It has grown quite sluggish after latest software updates and occasionally takes 15-20 seconds to start tracking a run. The lagginess is why I am considering trading it in for either a 7 LTE or the Ultra (although the Ultra doesn't seem worth double the cost).
I just purchased the Galaxy 6 Classic 47mm, hands down best looking watch in the Samsung range... The new ultra is an ugly mofo and a complete copy of Apple, what a put off
