I was just bored here on the 4th of July and I thought hey I want to listen to some old k's choice songs and then I found this and I'm so happy and so proud and I'm literally overflowing with joy that you have found yourself and that you have a lovely wife and lovely children. I guess it feels like we are close to artists that we have an emotional exchange through music on and so on a certain level And I just want to thank you for every song ever that has gotten me through times where I did not think that I would make it through I am so glad to see that you are so happy Sam you deserve it!! You have given people so much through your music and now it's time for you to get that back through life by living your truth. we are the same age and I have followed your career all throughout all of the struggles changes and beautiful metamorphosis that you've gone through and that you've helped me through so I guess what I'm trying to say is that all that love and help and warmth and good energy that you put out in the world just beams from your soul and you deserve it - its all come full circle 🏆

Ik heb in februari mijn 1ste gesprek gehad. Ik had normaal gezien 24 maart en 5 mei nog een gesprek, maar beide afgezegd door de Corona.. 😔 Ik blijf hopen dat ook die van 2juni niet wordt afgebeld, want het begint echt zwaar te worden dat ik niet vooruit kan in mijn transitie... Ik ben blij voor u dat alles goed gaat en dat je stilletjes aan veranderingen begint te zien bij jezelf! ☺️

Have you tried climbing? Bouldering? You would love the changes that can do for your body and its fun! Awesome outside climbing where you live as well, I believe. Corona is a bit of a partypooper now for all climbers. But, its a suggestion :)

It’s nice for you to be called « Sir ». And I experiment the opposite everyday. My girlfriend is called « Sir » everywhere we go. Without T. Without any willing to be called « Sir ». She is a woman and wants to be identified as one. She’s used about this common mistake but I’m hurt every time it happens. They call her « Sir » just because of her short hairs and « masculine » clothes (but wtf with gender in clothes ?!?). She does not take any T and will never do, but she’s called Sir anywhere. Just because of her unusual physical presentation « for a woman ». It is a real suffering. I know it is not your fight at all. Or no more. I don’t know. But it’s difficult for me to imagine that they call you « Sir » recently thanks to T. Didn’t they already call you « Sir » before ?! Aren’t we living in the same world? I’m happy for you if you’re fine with it, but I really doubt that T has a big part to play with that, compared to the incredible misgendering effect of short hairs and « not feminine » clothes. How can we manage this misgendering ? I mean, the one affecting people who does NOT want any transition, who feel FINE with themselves, but suffer everyday of a societal misgendering ... how can we learn to people not to call « Sir » every human with short hairs, straight jeans and no make up? When will the confortable status (no dresses, no shoes looking like stilts, no make up, no jewelleriesy, short and uncoloured hairs) of men also be accessible to women without destroying their public « identity »? I’m happy for you, for once someone gets some benefits of this « classification » ... ... but I’m so tired of sexism... you can’t imagine.... I want so much to be respected DESPITE I am a woman, and I want so much my girlfriend to be correctly gendered DESPITE her short hairs and « unisex » clothes ... and now I try to be happy for you, because you feel happy to be gendered as a man... DESPITE all of this... I love you, my « whole life idole »... I love my girlfriend... I try hardly to love myself... ... and it is really difficult to make all these fights « match »... You know, I’m sorry to be insensitive here but does your gf LOOK like a male? If so, there’s your answer. You can’t expect the entire world to walk on eggshells so as not to “misgender” people who appear as something other than They are whether that’s physically, mentally or both. It’s not sexism. It’s not an ism of any kind. If your gf is offended by being thought to be male, perhaps she could better accentuate her female traits so it’s not such an easy mistake to make? If not, and she wants to *appear* to look more male than female, instead of being offended and feeling victimized by an innocent mistake that anyone could make, maybe just accept that the vast majority of people don’t spend much time agonizing over what gender to classify everyone, and that’s just how it is. Just a thought.

Happy first Manniversary, Sam! I'm glad you're still enjoying your journey (and taking us along). Totally get the deodorant thing: I never really had to use it pre T, but since I started sweating (due to T) I have to. I'm not a fan of my own armpit hair either so I regularly shave. As far as leg hair goes: some people think I shave my legs, too, but I don't. Haha. I remember gaining some weight in the first year while still wearing the same clothes, and my brother pointed out it was added muscles (in my case). Do you have anything planned for IDAHOT on May 17? Keep vlogging!
It is not bad if your voice does not sound as masculine as expected (it sounds more deep though and when you sing there is a difference, well a good one as you kept the specificity of your voice but it it a bit deeper). It is what is it and your voice is a gift and always have been. The voice is not what makes a man or a woman. I mean there are men with a very feminine tone and voice and that is absolutely fine. And there are women with a masculine voice and tone and that is fine too. What really matters is that you are a man and that you are happy. And... Your voice is your instrument and you already know that it is a great instrument. So that is just fantastic, you are a man with a fantastic and unique voice. I understand perfectly that you don't want to be misgenderred but even cis women and men are sometimes misgenderred 😉
I like how the first song of the first album you ever made goes "love's not what you find betwen the legs of the majority" How are you feeling about your first songs in Ks Choice ? Do they ring the same to your ears now or are there some that you could no longer sing ? (I'm thinking Something's Wrong, even if it was Ironical, were you in the same state of mind when you wrote it ?) I'm no english speaker so i don't always get the sarcasm in some lyrics. I really like the French accent you had you and Gert when you played Only Dreaming acoustic on a French radio tho (Fun Radio i guess) Oh and Gert is the reason i bought an SG, cause i loved his guitar in the not an addict video, i played all my gigs with it, thanks man.

Are you on a very low dose of testosterone? Most 1 year videos with a full dose of T is a very different result even at your age. I know you were concerned about your voice so perhaps the low dose worked in that sense but otherwise the differences don’t seem “typical” for one year. Can you reveal the dose so your explanation of changes or the lack thereof are more “scientific”?
