yh pretty much most likely we will be replaced and if we push it to far. . .removed. . .like not to be dramatic but while being erased entirely is a stretch (not a huge one tho) we will most definetly be replaced by robots at our jobs as they are just superior in most ways take large scale 3d printers for an example they can build entire houses now so in a few years when its a more wide spread use no more need for human builders as they could be used to build most anything and so on hell even making robots could be done by one if it knows how to program as we already have them make parts just saying yk. . .maybe not in my lifetime but in the gran scheme of things itll come very soon

Great video Solarballs the wait for SAR is totally worth it. Amazing that this channel is leading to three different arcs one of moons being insulted, second about the dwarf planets being forgotten and third being robots revenge.

I recently watched this show called _Space Bug_ (in Japan) or _The Journey Home_ (in English). Basically, in a Star Trek level future, humans completely disappeared from space because the robots decided to completely reset the universe, wiping out all living life from bugs and frogs to humanity itself. Space is pretty much like an haunted/abandoned house.
It took them cutting the AI's antenna on Mars for them to stop.
Space bug? Are the main characters insects?

I really hope this becomes a series with lore itâs really good so far

AI is very useful and anyone who used them for their professional work would understand that.
Yet you know what AIs actually are? Imagine a random curve, let's say population of Earth over time, and you tried to create a function that match that curve. You start by adding 1 term, changing coefficients, adding a second term, and changing its coefficients.. maybe add some transformative functions to some terms like exp or sin, cos... and then you end up with like 7 terms and some functions, with some coffecients.
After maybe a few minutes/hours of you tweaking and playing with those terms, the function you created 100% looks random yet somehow predicts the human population accurately over time. However, if you data starts on let's say the 1800', you might need to add a constant term that's +1800.
Yes.. that's exactly how AI work. Each term represents a neuron, each coefficient represent the weight of the neuron, each constant is a bias (which only reflects the training data most of the time) and the functions used are like linear regression and so on. And how the AI adjusts these variables is actually through a mathematical process called "gradient descent" which is more efficient and automatic process.
Not only that.. the same term could use other terms as inputs.. that's what we call "layers" in neural networks.
AI is basically a glorified calculator yet very very very useful. And so no, I don't think they're conscious at all, no matter how intelligent they sound. If an AI is designed to predict the next set of tokens, treat its output as "predictions", not as "speaking its mind"; many people confuse that and think GPT-3 is actually conscious. Yes it understands you, answers your never asked questions in details, but that's just what it is.
The next logical step is AGI but they'd be based on something completely different. Probably a system that's a function of time... like our brains, spiking neural networks are the best candidate.
Features of Spiking neural networks:
- Concidence detection (output can depend on previous input "neurally" because neurons take time to completely deactivate without faking it like in perceptron-based NN)
- Time perception (The entire network is a function of time; unlike perceptron-based NN.. but that time could be virtual)
- Relational neurons (each neuron/cluster got a meaning instead of just a random coefficient)
- Feedback loops (neural clusters could run in loops allowing parallel computing of different thoughts and relating them together)
- Hebbian learning (no need for gradient descent, just pure "fire together, wire together").
However, many of these features might be obstacles for some applications. And also, it is not clear how to efficiently train them yet. There are still research going on SNNs.

Theres actually 2 more rovers on Mars! Although I'm not sure if their working...
Their names our Opportunity and Spirit. But the reason i'm not sure if their working is because Spirit got stuck and stopped communicating back to NASA and Opportunity got stuck in a sand storm and stopped communicating back to NASA. So they might need a few repairs and they might have a ton of sand in their systems.
I'm still so curious about how you animate this well but the video is amazing! Enjoyed watching it very much :D
