    If you want to hear Vitas' real voice better to listen his performances
    in China. All performances in Russian TV shows or concerts are on
    playback due to Russian policy that mistakes are not allowed on live
    translation. At least this policy was earlier.

      China also has him to lipsync if it's a government performance, which has happened many times

      @@wishie8474 that is an old policy. Since fall 2010 they require singers to perform live in most events. Vitas uses loopholes to get around it like still using playback in the chorus or voice. If questioned he could justify by saying it is a backing track or that he saves his voice for real concerts.

    Over the years, he has made countless attempts to prove that he sings without lip-syncing or use the regular microphone. The simplest way would be to hold a public press conference with numerous reporters, performing the most famous and challenging high notes of his choruses without a microphone. This could easily demonstrate that his flawless performances in concerts are achievable and that singing continuously without breaks is challenging. To prove this, he doesn't need elaborate setups or numerous videos shot on a phone.
    In fact, in the world of top-tier singers, there has never been a need for such extensive efforts to prove genuine singing. Those who genuinely sing usually don't require special validation. Even if they choose to prove it, it's not difficult-just perform a few complete segments of high notes from the choruses live. If he can reproduce the perfection seen in his concerts, no one would dare question him. But is he willing to do it?

    He uses a technique called Vocal Gating. Essentially, a noise gate but reversed. When the microphone detects an audio signal within a certain volume threshold, the gate will trigger playback. While he is still singing behind the microphone on certain parts to convince people of his legitimacy, the harder notes and specifically the high notes are all playback. It is clever but still deceitful.

      This. the fact he's fooling people is insane - i love his music, really, but it's so obviously playback with a lot of enhancements. Whenever something sounds perfect like a computer, it's normally because it is.

      El vocal gating lo que hace es dar ciertos efectos como suavizar la voz o eliminar el ruido de fondo , no sirve para reproducción automática por voz
      El vocal gating no es un censor

      Just because this technique exists doesn't mean he is using it. Was this even possible in the early 2000s when he was already swinging his mic around to prove he sang live?

  • @ZaThrint

    I love how in a lot of these clips he's specifically telegraphing as clearly as possible that what you're hearing is actually his voice

    • @yankis.
      @yankis. Před 8 měsíci +3

      Oh buddy... I'm gonna break it to you lol. This crap is the oldest trick in the book, his voice is not real. What he's doing here is using a feedback microphone, which plays the pre-recorded vocals every time he "sings" into the microphone. He doesn't even have to sing, just mumble random stuff to send a feedback to the playback machine. That's why he's "telegraphing", it's all for visual effect.

    • @YourBoyDonald
      @YourBoyDonald Před 8 měsíci +2

      Thank god, finally someone else who knows this fact too. It's quiet a shame he uses this microphone trick. It's been proven he CAN sing, but perhaps he just lost it. That would explain the feedback microphone.@@yankis.

      Nguyen Thu Ba he sang simple

      @dmitriymode1156 Před 4 lety +3

      @Lâm Hữu Minh fella, i am not his hater, i used to listen him when i was teenager, but believe me, 99 % what he sings is playback. Regading 0:15. Yes, there is clearly his live voice, pay attention, you hear his real voice, then he put micro close to his mouth, you can listen playback "above" his real live voice which he has to express to put the playback on. So, as i said, his playback works so easy: each sound into micro activates the playback. Also, pay attention, how his real live voice behind the playback sounds much worse than studio. It is exactly why he uses playback, because he can't sing the stuff, his live voice does not match to studio sounds created by engineers. He performed live Opera, for instance, once obviously, in 1996, maybe a couple of times afterward (2002, but still doubts it was high notes live), the whole rest of his stuff is cheap and obvious playback.

    This is not live. It's playback. If you get fooled by him moving the mic around, please don't be. You're gonna get fooled a lot of times throughout your life if it's that easy to trick you with something so simple. It's like a magician showing you his sleeves, "see nothing up there". It's a way to get your focus away from what is actually going on.

      @@wishie8474 Thanks for this. Out of all the fake performances, you've finally found two that are real. Unfortunately, this is the only song he can pull off because it is one of his easiest songs. The vocal range required for it is only up to F5, which most people can hit. I will believe him once I see a video of him hitting a note in the 6th octave live comfortably.
