My six year old daughter loves this. Every time it comes on she runs into the room and starts dancing. She has already learned most of the words. This morning she told us that she wants a hurdy gurdy so she can be like Patty.

You should look into the Nerdy Gurdy! My hurdy gurdy teacher has a young daughter that plays the hurdy gurdy as well, and she has one of those. It’s small, so kid’s hands friendly, individual components are relatively easily replaced, so you don’t get a heart attack every time they manage to do something weird with it, and it’s a really solid gurdy for the price!

@@colinsmith5373 They are currently developing a new model, with capo’s, and of course they still have the OG model, both of which are very solid. My friend got to try out the prototype for the new design (she’s in the same class as the guy who designs the Nerdy Gurdies) and she said it’s a very solid and fun instrument, and my hurdy gurdy teacher worked with the guy to improve the wheel so it’s perfectly circular and gives a really good sound. There's nothing better than Irish Folk style X-Mas songs. Love it.
I cannot even describe the feeling that comes over me when I listen to this type of folk music. It's almost like... love. The warm feeling, the contentment and peace that comes over me is a feeling I don't get from any other type of music. I am not a Christmas guy at all but man does this song touch my soul like none other. If anyone has any more recommendations for folk music, please let me know!
Maybe you’ll check out the German folk rock band dArtagnan. 👍😊👍 They played with Patty a few times.

My dad loved Christmas and the holidays. I wish he was here to hear it because he would love it. He loved family and get togethers. He also love listening to to string interment bands that played Christmas music.
Love how Tobias (the Fiddler) looks at his collegues and Patty... He seems to be so impressed of her, absolutely gorgeous! It turned out to be really the best "modern" christmas song ever.

I love, love, LOVE this song! I just stumbled across it yesterday. Had never heard of Patty or Fiddlers Green before and am now plowing through all the vids I can find on CZcams. But I have yet to find one I like as much as this one - it’s just so much fun!
Patty is relative new, I would say, never heard of her before either, but I like ger style! Shame she had a few weak seconds in the ESC live performance and she may have been rated higher, but some said the music was far to loud to manage (probably tuned in for Hard Rock.. ) Good luck to her, anyway!

Generally I have never been a big fan of Christmas music. All I would ever voluntarily listen to were Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses, and I Believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake. I can now add a third song to my list. Thank you Fiddler's Green and Patty. Patty you are THE best.

Yes, Patty's hair is like a national treasure of Germany. This is my favorite shade she has had it. I swear that girl is more gorgeous every day. And her songwriting keeps getting better. I hope with Subway To Sally and her band Patty Gurdy's Circle, she does more in German!
