if you want to play the story in chronological order, the SP (DLC) Missions take place in between mission 13 Bunker buster and mission 14 Cape Rainy Assault.
also, i play these games with my sim pit from FPP and in ultrawide (had to mod the damn hex code just to do it) and try to play them more like a flight sim (as much as you can with having to take down 100 enemies per mission lol), i can put together some less painful footage if you want
whether its in chronological order or after the main campaign I do hope to see him react to the dlc missions

@@Starjumper2821 I have a slight feeling that Mover will die from a stroke before finishing a quarter of the video.
Chronologically the SP missions come next but they're on a difficulty and scale that picks up from the end of the game, It'd be like watching a TV show that skyrockets in intensity for 3 episodes and then drops back where it left off.
The peak is best left for last.
Little does he know the next mission is closer to Maverick
next mission is more like topgun maverick with an insane canyon run but there's some dlc missions that take place right before the next one if you want to see those, they're pretty epic

There's not much enthusiasm for Ace Combat but even that can be amusing😆
We learned that we should save a few ground kills for the B-2 guys.
Yes, yes you can shoot down missiles in DCS. I counter punched my way inside an S-300 site’s R-min and killed it with the gun. F-18, low altitude, 10 amraams, used TWS in narrow vertical scan and stepped through targets as it launched missiles at me.
I’ve also shot down AA-10’s the same way.
The soundtrack to this mission is so so good
Yes!! Canyon run mission next!!! You gotta react to the super/fictitious planes too!
You can shoot bombs and missiles with your own missiles and or guns in War Thunder, you can play AGM/GBU coverage with autocannons with HE-VT rounds and if youre good with it. Even standard HE or APDS rounds. Ive also seen several long range AGMs like the new Kh-38MT missile found on the Su-25SM3 get shot down by SAMs by use of proxy fuzing near the AGM itself

The funny thing is, this mission + the next one are basically the plot of Top Gun: Maverick, in fact a lot of people in the community suspects they were inspired by Ace Combat 7 for coming up with stuff for the movie, like the Su-57 doing airshow stunts in the absolute worst time possible, which a few enemes in some missions in this game, flying Sukhoi jets, tend to also do.
I like though, how even Mover can't resist how catchy both versions of "Magic Spear" (the song for this mission) are, hahaha.

I'm always in for some more Ace combat 7, I hope you keep this series up, the last mission (20) and the dlc start to get crazy sci-fi.
Having seen so much DCS recently, I started to wonder why no one tries to lead missiles into the ground, or drag them into dense air, or dance around the MAR, or notch when they shoot, and then I remembered - it's just a video game.
Dcs is way more of a simulator, if you played you would see that you literally need to learn everything about the aircraft that a pilot learns, every switch, button and gauge works, right down to anti icing, the flight model is like flying the real jet. It is no joke….its referred to as a study level simulator for a reason. It is not a game, THIS is a game.

@@Dcscockpit I'm will aware of what DCS is, that doesn't mean games can't pick some mechanics to use to make it slightly more realistic. Gameplay always trumps realism, but there are so many options to choose from that surely one could be viable as a game mechanic.

You can shoot down cruise missiles in DCS, no ballistic missiles in the game as far as I can recall and I imagine you only have a few seconds from launch to shoot it down before it accelerates too fast

They actually released Top Gun: Maverick themed DLC for this game. There's movie themed variants of the Hornet, Tomcat, and Su-57 as well as the Dark Star.

lol, I remember playing the first Ace Combat, when it was just "Air Combat" on PS.
Airforce delta storm and Energy Airforce weren't bad either. (Evolved into OverG fighters for Xbox 360).
I cleard all the missions in hard-mode and achieved S for all years ago. The next mission 14, Cape Rainy, was fun and had some similarity with Togun story. You must check it out.

also a dcs player i ran into did not no what acm or ask his 2 turn on Auto piolet on phantom and last night i flew over a marked airport on pershine gulf airport and i could not eject after deploying flares at my 12 o clock two diffrent times breaking right bogey dope.
He mover did you know that ace combat 7 has released a dlc update and it’s called top gun maverick this update came alongside with the movie top gun maverick and there is the top gun maverick version of the F/A18E Super Hornet and the 5th gen fighter and the f14 tomcat and the almighty dark star

One of my favourite missions in the game! The strict time limit kinda ruins it for me (its why the player has afterburner on most of the time), but the music kicks ass! It's called 'Magic Spear' if you wanna look it up.
I guess the infantry version of this would be using a drone to designate targets for the close air support.
Last mission of Ace Combat Zero is the Top Gun:Maverick mission.

These guys had the same load crew as in Iron Eagle. Reloaded munitions and fuel after every weapon's re;ease and afterburner request. Bet this aircraft landed with full bag of fuel and all weapons stations loaded for next mission.

This feels like a more realistic mission than the one in TGM.
I have a feeling Mover would like the dialogue of Ace Combat Assault Horizon since it’s a more realistic story line and has (to me) a better story.
You gonne need to react to some Vtol VR missions. Still a bit arcady and not as hardcore as DCS, should make for a fun watch, how realistic those missions really are.
Saw a video that the thesis of was that Ace Combat isn’t a simulation of reality, but of a kids imagination of how jet combat is.

@@CWLemoinethe audio issues start at 0:50 for me. The intro to this video sounds crisp and clear but when the commentary over the game starts, that's where the audio sounds a lot worse for me.

For AC fans in here... Question, Would you enjoy a "more realistic" Ace Combat Mode? Less weapons, but less enemies? Perhaps forward rearming bases and Air to Air refueling to manage in game weapon and fuel stores?
Or is that to close to War Thunder series? (No i'm not a War Thunder player)
Just an idea that's been rattling around in my mind for years now.
I would love that. DCS is a bit too far into "This needs to be your main hobby" and War Thunder Realistic Battle/Simulator Battle style is a happy medium. A singleplayer game like that with great graphics, soundtrack and engaging story (as the AC games usually are) and I would definitely buy it at full price. As things stands when it comes to single player its either pure arcade with Ace Combat/Project Wingman or hardcore sim like DCS :(
