As a professional artist who mostly draws with mouse, I feel like every part of this video is the opposite of what I'd normally do
I wouldn't recommend using the circle tool unless you're making a flash cartoon, and the Stabilizer feature really isn't hard to get the hang of especially if you adjust the default settings
Hey I want to slowly get into Digital Art. I am a beginner "Artist" Well. I am trying to become one. And I draw with pen and paper but I just feel like Digital would suit me more since I am mostly on my PC. Long message short. Could you give me some advice to start out? And yes. I use a mouse because I don't have a Tablet.
@exportedtokyo is drawing par comfortable to use?
@@mrmawster9786 You mean pad if its so Yes its definetly easier and more comfortable to use

clearly motivating, I can create game assets now.
Not necessarily, you'll only be able to make a face if you just watch inly this video
@@johnattincan4190 the concepts from this transfer though, so now you can do other stuff, like make clouds that are shaded or making basic animal shapes.
I use libresprite for my pixel art in gamedev and I just manually shade and stuff. It isn't that hard. Unless your talking big pixel art like backgrounds.
this is very helpful! When i didnt have a tablet yet, i watched other tuts on how to draw with a mouse. This is the best one so far! :)
Aww thank you Jimmy
U can use ur phone too
@@vsuvi true but phone screens are small and hard to draw with depending on the size of the phone and maybe even your hand.
Iâm not saying you canât use a phone to draw but itâs easier to use something with a bigger screen

Don't forget: Drawing with shape tools isn't a bad thing! In fact, it's really useful and can save you a ton of time.
If you're doing line art, I recommend a lower sensitivity and disable mouse acceleration on your mouse so you can get cleaner lines
so "e" to erase and "shift" to keep circles circle. ok thanks this will help me as I do occasionally use krita
This man is literally the savior of all free to draw artists that is using Krita. Honestly you are the man I've been looking for with the perfect voice, tutorial, guide and just what I want to specifically know. I WILL DEFINITELY TRY TO BINGE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS ABOUT KRITA.đ
Aw thank you so much Zenith
Lol my hands are shaking when I draw on a mouse, IDK why
You could use a stabilizer
@@Ltloola the line still shaky though :(
@@darkconage2867 try going slower?
@@Ltloola ow, that helps thanks :D
Min too
I've been using a touchpad [I'm left-handed, so it's easier] for drawing for more or less 3 years and a stabilizer is always helpful [Recently got a tablet]. Another thing is that in most programs you can use line tools and curved line tools to make most shapes you want without hand-drawing.
This was SO helpful! I also really love your enthusiasm. It's clear that you really enjoy doing this.
Shoutout to Krita got me started on digital art

Besides using the mouse, I've learned a few tips from this video.
Like how to shade easier,
And how to fill in spaces easier đ
Thank you dude! I am new at Krita and here you showed me some basic things to create you character and I really appreciate that.
THIS IS EXACLY WHAT IM LOOKING FOR ... AND IT JUST POPPED UP IN MY RECOMMENDED
The shading color bit is a REAL big help. Thank you.
I love the tool that makes your lines smoother when you draw.Sometimes it can go wrong, but you can fix that.
Omg I can't believe how much I've learned from this 1 video! Also you're voice is nice to listen to. Thank you for uploading this

this has really helped me get better at drawing with a mouse. and switching to krita has helped me a ton!
Thanks for using Krita!
Its the only art program I understand, and it makes this tutorial easier to follow!
Thank you for helping me with the brush smoothness. I have just recently started using Krita and it irritated me how when you fill, it would have white areas left that I have to brush over but now it fills very smoothly. Ty :D
I don't have a tablet so a lot of the things I do with mouse are self-taught, but this does help quite a bit, thank you for making this video!
Its almost just optimizing the tools in a pretty useful way THX MAN â€ïž
this is my first time learning krita with you! thanks man! u helped me
Thank you for teaching us so well.
Youâre amazing! As a person who JUST started using krita, this was super helpful.
I have been trying to make digital art for 3 years without a tablet after this I could immediately draw thanks
Itâs soo smooth and love the smile in the end
Hello Kai, you can make this in blender, I use like this, top view, just lines and vertices, then this modifiers, subdivision, skin, subdivision, The curves are editable like on Paint Tool Sai, you can make your materials on the faces using nodes or you can draw in paint mode :D
The Grease Pencil is VERY versatile aw well! Just takes a while to get into it. I'll look into it further :)
Nice! I have some problems with gizmos curves, I like more the direct point control, like in the Paint Tool Sai, I got this on Blender with vertices, The Grease Pencil is really nice! But I need understand more how it works XD
Yeah. More Krita videos, please. Thanks Kai.
I'm on it.
I watched soo many tutorials on how to draw with a mouse and couldn't find any decent tutorials... Yours one is the best. Keep up the good work man âșïž
Thank you so much
This is actually really good the anchor I didnt know about it really helped and you dont get help like this often thanks!
I think i might have found a pretty good solution when drawing that allows you to simply draw how you want without much bumpy lines. although stabilizer is hard to use, i messed with the options a bit and managed to actually make it alot more easier to control, and more efficient.
1. When you select stabilizer, you will have two options below from where you picked it: distance and delay. so what you want to do is to first make the distance 50-100. it slows down the giant circle (which ill be calling the slow cursor, from the fact we slow it down) that follows the main cursor.
2. put the delay on 0. it makes the slow cursor extremely smaller. although you can turn it off, its alot harder since your cursor acts like the slowed cursor as you cant really see the actually location of your cursor while drawing quickly. keeping it on 0 allows you to see the slowed cursor, and the actual cursor.
when you draw around with it, it barely has any bumps and is pretty smooth, yet the down side is you might need to get used to the slow cursor. not the best, but it's alot better
Thank you! My parents didn't want to get me one. Which is understandable but i want to improve my art and get better. So this helped.
i had this video in my Playlist for years. i finally needed it and it was very useful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm super excited to try this out!
THIS HELPS A LOT!!
I'm SUBBING
Replace "u" with "o"
me: i need a drawing tablet for digital art
mouse: i can help you
@NITRICk Milo Or you can spend no money if you have a laptop, you got the little trackpad or whatever it's name is. It's somewhat close to using a pen, indeed it takes practice but if you get something expensive then you will be disappointed of yourself for not reaching your expectations. So it's basically up to you, use your laptop's trackpad to see how good you are first and then get a stylus or whatever OR just go for the stylus and stuff

pro tip use line and circle tools ! they are your friends and even with a tablet drawing perfect circle and lines are hard to do that's why circle templates exist even for traditional pen and paper art!
