Love this kind of content as well, giving attention to some older dolls. Miss Glamor Witch is glorious, and I love her as well. I own the 2007 (?) Barbie set of Glinda and the witch as well. One of my favorite things to do with them is display them in each other's clothes and gear. It's super fun to see people who come visit do a double take when they walk by them.
Lol, that sounds great. 🤣 also, I know Barbie did a Wicked Witch of the EAST doll who was super cute. I've always wanted her, but she is hard to find at a decent price because she's so old now. 😕
The Wicked Witch of the East really, really wants to come live with me, but yeah, I'm not willing to pay what it would take...yet. There will come a day, though, when I can't ignore her anymore, lol.
Elphaba is the name used in both the book and the musical versions of Wicked. And fun fact her name comes from the name of the author of the Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum ( El [L] Pha [F sound in Frank] Ba [Baum])
Another wonderful share of more villains in your collection... Your #1 doll is breathtaking totally worth it! A somewhat rare face sculpt ... I looked her up and it's the 2011 collector mermaid if you are into face sculpts like I am. Anyway thank you for sharing these lovelies with us such a treat.
I didn't realize! Thank you. I'm not good at identifying face sculpts, but I appreciate the info. That might be part of the reason she's so sought after. 🤔
Totally love seeing the older dolls, agree so many videos on new stuff on You Tube but there are so many dolls already in the world to find out about! Your no.3 is my absolute favourite... I need to find the nostalgia faced Witch of the West right now!!!!
Fun video! The only one I own is the 2010 vintage face Barbie, and I LOVE her. Her outfit is extremely well made, right down to the fabric hat and stockings. Though she isn't a Silkstone, somehow she feels like one when you take her out of the box. On another note, I'd love to see you do a video with a variety of other witch dolls (Barbie's Samantha, Sabrina, Charmed, etc.).
I have more witchy and magic related content planned, but I might save it for Halloween. 🤔 I don't have a ton of witch dolls, honestly. I don't even have the Sanderson sisters. But I have some other spooky stuff planned. 👻
As someone who watched the OZ origin movie recently on free TV: the transformation of mila Kunis character happened after she was heartbroken from seeing the Wizard falling in love with Glinda and her sister tricked her to eat a magic apple that would make the pain go away. Instead it transformed her while killing all goodness inside her. The sister offered to give her back her usual appearance but Mila (forgot the characters actual name) wanted the Wizard to see what he did to her. Hope it stood mostly spoiler free
@@dollthighs it was a nice movie just not one that stood out or was very memorable. I watched it with my little brother back then in cinema and forgot a lot. This movie certainly gives a good time tho
The Wicked Witch of the West/Theodora doll from Oz The Great and Powerful is indeed bald under her hat and head covering. Your 2014 The Wizard of Oz Fantasy Glamour Collection Wicked Witch of the West Doll is an amazingly beautiful doll. I have not bought a lot of dolls for The Wizard of Oz, but I did get the 75th Anniversary Pink Label Barbie dolls for Dorothy, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda back in 2013 (even though they released them a year earlier than the film's actual anniversary), because they have the most accurate head sculpts for the characters than Mattel had ever made before. Being Pink Label, they are not as well crafted as the Wizard of Oz Glamour Collection dolls, but still very nice.
I only have one witch in my collection, that's Marie from Hocus Pocus. Dreaming of the witch Barbie reproductions from the Land of Oz. The vintage style fascinates me. Thank you for your new video, I enjoy watching the review))
love seeing a bunch of different dolls here that arent the star of the show on most channels. youve got a really fun taste. The living dead dolls are really interesting Ive only ever seen one at a spencers when I was a kid they seem like a well loved brand. Do you have a favorite horror movie/book? I like most Stephen King stuff- It had to be my favorite read.
Yes!!! I LOVE horror. I have read most stephen King books. 😆 he's my favorite author. My favorite book is Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King. My favorite horror movie is tough, but I'm going to go with Saw.4. 🤣🤣 I know that seems random, but I loved the saw movies, and the 4th one was my favorite. The original Carrie movie by Stephen King is probably my favorite stand-alone film. Or maybe Silence of the Lambs. Idk it's so hard to choose. 😬
Oh my gooooooshshshshsh!!!! Yos I was going to ask if you could do a review of your living dead dolls ever since I noticed your Pennywise and scream LDD presents. I’m definitely interested in the living dead dolls. I only have 5 living dead dolls. Their so cute and scary😊
Lol, okay, sounds good! I'll put it on the list of videos to make. I just bought all the new rainbow high dolls, and a few of the new Barbie looks dolls, so I've got a lot to cover. 😅 but I'm glad to hear you're interested in them. I think they're super cute and wish they would make more of them.
I could always used more villains in my doll collection. I have the Devious and the Shadow High twins and a Scarlett O'Hara Barbie but that's it. Wouldn't mind having a Maleficent or Evil Queen from Snow White doll.
Your number 1 is also mine, she is such a beauty and I want her outfit for me too :). I have also wanted her for a long time. I watched her sell out then go way up in price on ebay very fast. One day I may get her. I grew up watching the Wiz movie, would love an Evilene doll! I don't collect Wizard of Oz in general though love dark fairy tales like that, and loved the book Wiced. There is an Ellowyne Wilde doll, Woefully Romantic, her dress makes me think of Evilene. I do have 1 19" Tonner wicked witch basic with lovely green skin, and I have that vintage looking Barbie, I loved her boots, got her when she came out, most likely on super sale, how I shop. I haven't seen the Mila Kunis movie since it came out, I think it was a manifestation of her magic or jealousy or inner uglyness that made her change? I leave a lot of my dolls in the box but not because I'm an in box collector, I don't believe in keeping a doll sealed forever :) Some display nice in the box & are protected from dust.
Same thing as me- when I first started to collect dolls I had a much lower cap of tapping out for the price of a doll. Now it’s down right embarrassing 😂🤑
You discussing The Wiz, totally made my Frideeeee!!! 💝💖💝💖 I think Disney owns Return to OZ. Which is ICONIC!!! Have you watched the horror trailer to OZ? It's so creepy!!! So goooood. Don't Go To OZ!!!!
True Top #5 Wicked Witch of the West dolls are made by Mego, 1970's, Multi Toys, 1980's, Trevor, Warner 1990's, Franklin Mint, and a few others, ..none of these Wicked Witch dolls newer are not great looking in terms of not looking like one from movie.
I wasn't judging based on how similar the doll was to the movie. I was ranking them more on overall aesthetic. A lot of the older dolls are just kind of ugly to me. I do love Franklin mint dolls, but I don't collect porcelain dolls at all. I know some people prefer villains to be haggard, but I much prefer when they are serving looks. 💅
My absolute favorite doll version of the Wicked Witch is definitely the classic, non-silk stone Barbie. i have wanted her for years, but always kept he on the back burner for some reason.
I have watched several of your videos and I like that you are honest with your dolls. I have a question that you can answer if you want. What zodiac sign are you .😄
@Constantine Liverakos Libra is my rising sign, so a lot of people say I seem like a libra, apparently? 😆 I think I'm too mean to seem like a libra, though.
Now I need that wicked witch doll! Why didn't they ever make dolls based on ABC's Once Upon A Time? Would of loved an evil queen doll from that show just saying! Ahh the villian dolls 🤗
ShopDisney did make dolls based on Once Upon A Time, but they were very limited quantities and only released at D23 expo! They did Snow White and the Evil Queen!
Omg I completely forgot about Zelina. 😆 🤣 that show deserved more dolls. They only made dolls of Regina and Emma for d23, and they're so rare that you can hardly find them. I think I've seen 1 ebay auction for them in the past 2 years.
@Oppossed good luck! They're very rare. I think I saw them sell for like $1200 for both of them if I remember correctly. The actors who played the roles were there are the convention signing the doll boxes, so I think that's part of what makes them so expensive. 🤔
I agree that a slightly more yellow green as opposed to a blue green just plays better as a skin tone
Yeah, I agree. I think that would fix the problems I have with the Elphaba doll. 😄
@dollthighs did you like disney oz the great and powerful
