    Thank you Daria. I love your lessons, as an adult beginner. Learning to play with the right articulation and technic from the beginning is very important. You are right - it’s not as glamorous and may seem boring - but this what it takes to play fluidly and injury free. Thank you very much for your very important lessons!!! 🤍🖤

    Thank you, I appreciate this for me a beginner. I am amazed at how much power comes out of the piano by pianists who smoothly travel over the keys. Your hair looks great.

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Před rokem +3

      You are right, smoothly is the key! we try to avoid the fast "jerky" movements and replace them with smooth gradual gestures, even if they need to be very fast. it creates an illusion of it being easy, even when it is not:)

      @@Dariafortepiano Thank you so much, this is very helpful! Now I understand... this is something you have to continually work at, to be smooth no matter how fast or difficult the piece.🌹🌹🌹

    Hello, thank you for this canonical exercise, this might help me in the finale of the c-minor Mozart sonata phrasing two-note-slurs in tempo. Best regards from Germany.

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Před rokem +3

      I am so glad it is relatable to you! Yes, Mozart is one of the composers, whose pieces are full of those two note slurs, so a very important gesture to master. I work a lot on phrasing with little slurs like these to make them sound" just right" to my ear.
      Thank you for watching!

    nice to see you back! Missed Ya! Luv the new look. Im puzzled in the lesson u appear to hit the second note as the hand arm rises? it seems almost "Not right"

      @Dariafortepiano  Před rokem

      Thank you! Haha, yes, isn't it great? It appears as if you are doing nothing, and you are barely doing anything indeed. This is exactly how you get the last note to be gracefully light and taper off without effort. You press the keys as you hand almost leaves the keyboard. 😃🎹👍

    Dear Daria, thank you for the teaching and guidance. Is the book you mention suitable for beginners? Do you teach beginners via the internet? Once again thank you. Very much appreciated. Kind regards, George

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Před rokem +1

      Hello George, yes, this book is what I recommend to my adult beginners. It is very thorough in explaining the technical side of playing. But I also use various additional repertoire books for my students, along with this method book. It doesn't teach notes or any tunes, this book is just about the technique of playing.
      And to the second question, yes I do teach online. Via zoom usually. Are you looking to take lessons. Feel free to message me in Instagram about the lessons, if you have the app.
      Thank you for leaving a comment!

    For some reason this reminds me of Michelangeli's concept of oscillations.

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Před rokem

      I am not familiar with Michelangeli's concept, although I do use oscillation, as in similar to rotation. For example for trills mostly. But I will google it! Thank you!

    а почему у вас так низко запястье опускается при нажатии?

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Před rokem +2

      Спасибо за вопрос! В этом упражнении упор идёт на передачу веса в клавишу, полностью, при нажатии с помощью опускания запастья, как бы проваливаясь в клавишу "до дна" и потом снятие с клавиши при помощи запястья идущего вверх. Для наглядной демонстрации и для полного ощущения погружения, утрированно низкое запястье помогает лучше поймать правильное ощущение погружения. Это не нужно делать все время, но для извлечения глубокого звука такой способ рекомендуется использовать в упражнениях. Потом , когда движение вниз-вверх становиться удобным, каждый находит свой удобный "уровень" опуская запястья, при котором остаётся ощущение глубокого погружения, но запястье может быть и выше, но звук не должен быть поверхностным. У всех по разному. Слишком низкое запястье это тоже плохо. Нужно найти свой удобный уровень , на котором есть опора, но не слишком низко. У разных пианистов часто отличается техника, я наверное играю с более низким запястье, чем некоторые другие пианисты.

    Daria! I think there should be a closeup overhead camera looking down on the keys so we can clearly see the finger position, movement and contact! The current set up is not clear enough! Thanks for the lesson!
