It’s good that you have taking interest in sewing. Your video was right on and anyone could understand it. I own 8 sewing machines, and three are Brothers. Make more videos. You could say I am a collector of sewing machines.
Living in a small country town does limit my ability to make more masks. I am just making them until the elastic arrives from Amazon. I made several Texas Tech masks today since my husband graduated in 1974. We live in Longhorn country. Get a lot of stares from our rivalry. Ha ha.
I’ve had this machine for three years and so frustrated with sewing. You have explained this so well that I’m excited to give it another go at it. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much. New subbie 💖
not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream all of the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of weeks :)
This was a great buy! I purchased this when covid-19 hit to make masks along with a serger and cover stitching machine in a bundle for $1200 from my local dealer. I live them all. I have a brother gallery 😆❤️
That is awesome that you have all 3 machines!! Great Deal too! I was looking at cover stitch machines too, but I feel like I need to step up my sewing game before I invest in one. I also have a Brother Gallery LOL
Thank you so much! I was intimidated by this new machine as I have had my Sears Kenmore for 40+ years! I don't know if I would have figured it out on my own!
Karlie Belle thanks for the tutorial on this machine. After much research I chose the CS7000X. I was feeling intimidated by a computerized machine after seeing for roughly 50 years on manual/electric machines. It was the bobbin winding so now I will follow your guide. I feel more confident.
Hello Karile, Thank you for the video. It seems a lot of people in the comments have had this machine in storage - without use- for many years. When it has been in storage for a few years, do you have to do anything special or do you just plug it in, set it up and start sewing? Thank you!
I love it!! I have made masks, a doll dress, a baby top, and some other things on it. I am using the walking foot for every project and it works awesome!
The mess I have put up with is head shaking! 1700.00 Elna Elnita… after taking it back to shop the 3rd time… strike three! Then traded that lemon for yet another model. The Bernina is brand new in the box…. FOR SALE!
Have you tried making the corona masks? It’s pretty easy but only problem is getting elastic. I live in small town in Texas and no elastic. Ordered on Amazon but wait time is in May.
Delores Ann Brozek yes I have been making masks. I made about 40 before I ran out of elastic. I also ordered some on Amazon and mine won’t be here til May either. I order some bias tape makers yesterday to try out. Have you used those before?
I would put a drop of oil under the bobbin case after you have cleaned it really well. You can do this every 2 months depending on how much you use your machine.
Dolores, collect a Bernina. You’ll have no need for any other.i bought this as a first machine for my granddaughter. She then lost interest. When I opened the box there was no instruction booklet. I set it up and it sounded like a train with its breaks on. Terrible screeching sound.
Thank you for sharing this. I just purchased and unboxed this machine. the cover had the styrofoam in it and I took it out (had to break it to move). Now the cover doesn't seem to fit correctly. I put the ends of the styrofoam back temporarily to stabilize it. Is there an option to make the cover fit?
The styrofoam is supposed to stay in the cover. It is made to be apart of it. You can Try to place it back in and secure it with tape or glue. Or you can contact Brother and see if they can send you a new one.
Hi, I paid $160 for this machine on amazon and the newer CS7000i was listed at $199. But since Covid-19, they have gone out of stock and are hard to find.

I love it!! I have made masks, a doll dress, a baby top, and some other things on it. I am using the walking foot for every project and it works awesome!
I just bought this same machine
Yay I hope you love it!

Delores Ann Brozek hi, have you tried JoAnn’s site online? The site also lists stores reopened in different areas. Also perhaps Micheal’s.
I need help. Do I need to oil my brand new CS6000i sewing machine?
I would put a drop of oil under the bobbin case after you have cleaned it really well. You can do this every 2 months depending on how much you use your machine.
after threading the needle do I make a not?
No you do not need to.

Do you still use this sewing machine? Is this durable?
Yes, it is a great little machine!

Is it good for thicker fabrics?
Yes, so far I love using the walking foot. It works great for thin and thick fabric!
