I tried the Scythe. It just doesn’t kill fast enough. It’s ok on the River because it never stops, but as a primary it has neither the ability to quickly kill small guys or hammer big ones. My experience at least.
I can get 600 kills with the scythe + laser drone relatively easily, it doesn't kill as fast at close range but you also don't run out of ammo with it and it's effective at all ranges. It fulfills the marksman role better than the marksman rifle due to the accuracy, and even devastators get melted in a few seconds if you aim for the head.
this is pretty pointless in a game where you have to deal with swarms of enemies. wasting time cutting enemy legs one by one is not going to be very useful.

Anyway we're back on the ship, and we're all like, trying to get a cheeky peek at him under his helmet, and when he went back into his cryo tube, one of me mates opened it and took his lid off... Little bug fella.
08:20 It's a co-op game. You're supposed to have teammates instead of instantly kicking them. You're playing alone on the hardest difficulty in a game made for a team of 4 players. It's not the games fault, it's your own fault. Stop complaining about literally everyone and everything and maybe take a break from gaming for a while. Think some things through.
Doesn't make his point any less valid. Even with teammates, the spawn rate is obnoxious and the devs are toxic about it. They admitted that the armored enemies were spawning too often and too many, but in their petty manner, instead of balancing things, they swapped the spawn rate to the hunters which are even more obnoxious when you get swarmed and effectively stun locked. This game is absolutely stupid at times.
If i could give some advice, i would recommend you to use a grenade launcher or the flame-thrower since they has an AOE and the flame-thrower also lingers and does chip damge. If you're more of a single target weak point guy, i would recommend a rocket launcher or a machine gun. But most importantly you must trust your team. I've been killed by my team, my team have been killed by me, but that the end of the day respawn them get back to it. Having someone that can run, resupply, spawn support weapons, turrets and respawn the team if things goes south is infinitely better then losing on your own because the enemy is working as a team.
You shouldn’t use lasers vs bugs really, bots have a modifier that make them weaker to energy and bugs have a modifier that makes them weaker to projectile, and the scythe against the bots is a competent primary.
This gun struggles to do anything yet the dude here is like: "Aye, that's pretty good!" At least he noticed that "sometimes" this gun feels weak. Not commenting on his teamplay mentality...
Dude tighten up your videos, do a montage or something instead of staying silent/mumbling for half a minute waiting for something to happen? And how is the title of your "insane damage" when you're barely able to survive any wave of enemies with that weapon? You're saying it's great at killing mobs but any other weapon takes care of them in one shot and you're there struggling to kill any of them

Scythe is a great weapon if used correctly. I noticed the same thing about it when it comes to cutting limbs off.
