    This is the best presentation on PBI dataflows that I have seen. Well done.

    Nice Demo. I guess If your willing to learn Power M on backend its a nice tool-set eco-system. It would be nice if the back end Language was more unified with front end DAX.

    You can just do all your transformations in Power Query editor desktop then copy and paste the M into power query online.

      Yes you can. Infact there is feature request to do exactly this. Export Desktop M Queries to Dataflow :)

    Nice webinar for Power BI dataflows, thank you
    Q. Which storage mode of Power BI dataflows on Power BI Desktop? Import, DirectQuery, or Dual? 😄😄😄

    • @PragmaticWorks
      @PragmaticWorks  Před 5 lety +1

      Dataflows currently uses the Import method. When you connect to Dataflows from within Power BI Desktop you don’t get the option like with other sources, but I did find a an idea that is requesting they add a DirectQuery option which you can vote on here.

      Thank you for your reply. and DirectQuery idea
      Import by Power BI Dataflows is nice,
      and DirectQuery by Power BI Dataflows is hope for large datas with small pc

    Did all the steps, when connecting to the data flow its an empty table. Any reasons why? The dataflow is still refresh could this be the case

    Is it theoretically possible to have a SharePoint folder as a data source. Haven't been able to achieve this on dataflows

    I still don't understand the key reason on why I should drop datasets but I do feel better with data flow.

      Not sure why they are slow but check our videos and classes on Azure Data Factory! :)
