    VERY helpful. Your engine code will tell you if it’s exhaust vs intake side, for example: I have P0025, which is an “exhaust camshaft for bank 2” so I need to replace the VVT sensor on the very front side of the engine block as you’re looking down into the engine compartment.

    Great videos. It looks like to get to the solenoids or sensors on bank 1 you have to remove the intake manifold. Is there an easier way?

    • @MrStuffdude
      @MrStuffdude Před 2 lety

      I am looking for an easier way myself. Apparently on the Sienna you can access it (difficulty) from the underside of the vehicle (but it is tight) Im trying to see if that would work on a Highlander but I think the transfer case on that car would be in the way (they have the same engine)
      Try from underneath if you need to do yours because you would likely need to remove more than the intake manifold (theres more than a few brackets behind it, wiring harness and likely any wires in front of the intake manifold as well, like the spark plug coils, and most of the wires shown in this video because you would need to crawl on top of the engine to get to it) it sits right above the cat so low and behind bank 1 next to the firewall
      Good luck, let me know if it works out

    Hi guys, I apologize for my question being unrelated, I just wanted to ask, I recently purchased a used 2011 Yoyota S ienna, my complaint is that, when I make a left turn (only on left turn) a door icon ( Not flashing) and a flashing yellow triangle display on my dash, when I straighten my Sienna out the icons are NOT displayed any longer, what might be the issue?
    All doors are fully locked and the fuel cap is fully seated..I checked the fuses and they are ok...

I believe it is between the engine and the firewall above the CAT on the exhaust but I am having a hard time finding videos talking about replacing it. My understanding on a non AWD version is that you can get it from the underneath but on the AWD the transfer case gets in the way - is the best bet to just reach around and up the transfer case to get to the sensor or would it be easier tearing off the intake etc. to get to it from the top down?
