I sure wish someone would make a video like this about my bike.every one I've found you can't hear what the bike should sound like because they won't shut up long enough to breathe so I have no idea if mine sounds normal, about to fall apart or what.I did learn all about the seat, fuel mileage, power and everything else I already know from owning one now if I could only find out what others motors sound like that would be great.fjr owners are lucky to have this video for reference.
Imagine having a bike like this, buying a slip-on, and not once going more than like 25% throttle lmao buy a scooter dude there's no reason for you to have a sport tourer
thank you Purple, the linked brakes giving me a little head ache since i lightly tap the rear the front also kinda takes a small hit. Now the suspension is better dialed in less dive and getting to know the bike better.
Great sound and video. The gearshifter sounds like a rifle bolt. I rode a 2014 and noticed it is more "clunky" than my 2016 with the updated transmission.
Looks like my neck of the woods-Upstate New York. Picked up a PRISTINE '06 on Feb. 1st. Still haven't taken it out...we got 6 inches of Upstate New York snow.
Steve Mallow thx Steve, its gpr furor black. Well made , good size design and has two set of baffles for front end and back end if we want to keep noise real low with just the rumble. This is with back baffle and front removed.
I went hot into a downhill, decreasing radius right hander one time, and it was a tight turn, too. Thank Yahuah that He had a clear path for me across the road, because I had to go into the woods on that turn. I had to lean my 600 waaaaay over to make it, and did not. A new, unfamiliar turn and I went into it too fast. So you are right - downhill turns, particularly the decreasing radius (gets tighter as you make the turn) type, separates the riders from the wanna-be's. Love the FJR. Going to look at one in 45 minutes.
This sound is sweeter than any song!

I like to use more of my rpm range rather than shifting more. Wonderful torque from that inline 4 use it.
The constant short shifting and the airplane fasten your seat belt noice is so God damn annoying. What a dogshit video

power of exhaust. im sure they are happy.
Thats the way to do it! Greetings from Serbia!
Forever bike. Drop by buddy.
Welcome to FJRLand! You'll love downhill corners once you pick up how to trail the rear brake.

bonne route l'ami
Merci mon ami
Nice ride. I jam on a 2013 FJR1300A

yea the transmission not as butter smooth, but its kinda of rev related too. at some rpms it all just works perfectly. Soon will find the sync zone :)
They went to helical gears and slip/assist clutch. Less noise and butter changes.
Mine has butter smooth gears. 2021 model 👌🏽

Can I ask you. I'm thinking of buying that slipon. Do you have the version with or without catalyst converter?
The sound is bloody amazing by the way.. 😍
Where is this video taken? (generally speaking) Pennsylvania??

Nice sounding bike, the airline notification ding sound constantly ruined the video.
