I have one with CPM S90V steel and carbon fiber scales, and really like it. I use it whenever I have to open packages. It is wicked sharp, and it would make a fearsome weapon.
Awesome steel and a great knife! Weapon or package opener, it excels at both.
I love the natural g10. Just ordered my first BHQ exclusive Yojumbo. I got the non dlc variant which I’m very excited for. Great video sir

They do go well together. Considered keeping mine that way, but ended up dyeing the scales.

Beautiful knife man and great video, definitely update us with how it performs down the line and show any mods you do. I'm curious how the blade centering is on it?
I did mention that briefly, but it's a long video! It wasn't perfect, but not rubbing either. When I took it apart to mod it, I forgot to recenter it, but it went back together perfectly centered anyway. So all good now. I'll have a second video up sometime in the next week or two showing the mods.
M4 is pretty tough luckily 👍🏻

Awesome knife. I have the Yojimbo 2. I might need to get the larger one. Those scales are sweet too.
It's a great knife! I'm not a huge fan of jade scales, but if you have to have them, the black blade and hardware makes it stand out.

@@Drewcooks24 Yes sir! I've already done that. Also had to modify the handle shape as it just didn't fit my big mitts. I'll get around to making a follow up video showing the results of the modifications soon.

Love it, and the Natural G10 is cool, i want a YoJimbo BHQ exclusive now lol, but yea whenever they decide to do that again.
I think the natural g10 might have grown on me, but since I had to alter the handle scales to fit my hands anyway, I figured that I might as well dye them while I was at it. Check out my follow up video, if you get the chance, to see what I ended up with.

@@sprinkleddonuts6094 Thanks for the sub! I agree that the black hardware works well with the natural G10. I'm not generally a fan of natural G10, but against the black blade and hardware, the look was already growing on me in just the few days I had it before modifying and dyeing the scales. Maybe I'll leave the next one I get alone.
Thanks for the video. The item description on Blade HQ doesn't indicate it has a the DLC finish on the blade. It says Black finish, which most are just a black painted or "cerakoted" finish. Any thoughts on that detail? Did you dye the handles? Also, just curious as to what oil you may use to keep lightly on the blade? Ever had any issues with the tip getting damaged? Thank you in advance for your time and consideration with answering my questions. Stay sharp!
Yes, it is DLC coated. I'm not sure, but I think that is all Spyderco uses. Definitely it is all they use on their high end knives. I don't typically oil my DLC blades, but I prefer mineral oil for blades in general. So far, no damage to the tip, but this is a self defense knife, not a heavy use knife. If you use it as a workhorse, I would expect the tip to get damaged eventually. It is just too fine to withstand heavy use.

M4 in the YoJumbo is a great idea, considering the pointy tip! The scales... well, I guess I'd take a permanent marker and murder them out 😎

Nothing about it looks like it should appeal to me personally, and yet I love it. I don't know why I love it, but I do. And I've always favored larger knives.

Why would you buy jade g10 just to dye it. Good way to ruin thr value. 😂
I buy knives to use, not resell them. So dyeing it to a color I like makes perfect sense. I bought this one for the CPM M4 steel. It just happened to have jade scales, which thankfully are easy to dye. Not sure what is funny or unusual about that, but okay.

I don't disagree with anything you wrote, but highly doubt the efficacy of posting this as a random comment on a knife review video. I've yet to meet the person that gave their life to Christ due to reading a comment section online. Developing genuine relationships with people that show that you actually care about them as a person before preaching to them (even though it is the truth) seems to be more effective. Just my humble opinion, but thanks for the comment anyway.

@@aatruong6, at this point I do modifications on my own knives or for family and close friends. I have not taken orders for modifications. If there was enough demand, I might consider it, but it is a hobby and not a business right now.
