Wait, so the whole scene was CGI? Even John Wick's character?

2:46 they said its keanu but no info regarding how they stitch them together.. or maybe keanu doing the stunt is only for reference but the actual scene use CGI?

It sounds like for the scene they recreated it with CGI models so that they can simulate all the light effects, smoke etc. and then essentially hide the 3d models and then render only those effects to overlay on top of the originally shot real clips. There's the instance they mentioned with the mirror where they needed to use the CGI John Wick but other than that they're using real the real footage
