I'd be installing a pocket of some sort on the wall for that reader. It would be too maddening for me on the bench. Good idea keeping an eye on your water supply. You can't beat rain water.
My son always used to say when I asked why he was not following the manufacturers instruction his reply was always they merely the manufacturer’s opinion!😅😅

Yeah thus far it's doing the job well, the test will be if (or when lol) we do accidentally leave something on over summer and it lets us know ... almost tempting to do it on purpose but maybe not lol
We get town water supplied that trickles in at a constant rate, but we do run low over the summer months so have to keep an eye on it. Also saving up for some rain water tanks to keep the garden watered over summer so we have some reserves!

Yeah that's why we wanted the wall-mounted one, but thinking of making some adjustments so we can just put that one on the wall lol
