Ohh yes, Pom Pom has certainly given us something to play with for exploration in our own crafty worlds. I really enjoyed watching your review and hope that you do decide to design something pretty with the yarns.

I love how thorough you are about reviewing this yarn ! One of the most interesting I've ever watched and one of the most useful for anyone who'd like to try it out ! Thank you for sharing. I'm very looking forward to watching more content from you !

The two pastels you didn’t like were my favorite! I often look for a dingy tone when I’m shopping for yarn. I *have* had one sweater begin to look actually dingy after wear, but it wasn’t the highest quality yarn. The projects I’ve created with nicer yarn keep looking good (to me)!
I’m enjoying your podcasts. I liked that this one was a little different. I’m looking forward to the others about other crafts!

Looking forward to your review of the PomPom yarns. I agree the oranges and blues are very pretty. Your heirloom quilt looks so lovely on your chair and the colors are beautiful with your tapestry. Great new haircut, so flattering and back-to-school fresh!!

Love the look of the yarn. Very similar to CaMaRose Snefnug. The colours are gorgeous!

Great review- looking forward to seeing what you design with it 😊
Hope it will be a successful venture for Pom Pom…and that it will be available in the UK too….🎉

Watched this while sewing an Italian bind off! I think you gave a very thorough and thoughtful review. Alpaca cotton is a bit of an interesting blend, I could see it being cool in a crochet granny cardigan, or like you said, a big fun blankie. Cheers to new content styles!

How about a cropped color block hoodie? Or a smaller tee...I bet a full pullover sweater would just get too hot. This was a nice thorough review, thank you!

Great (p)review! I think this might work well as a substitute for snefnug. I'd use it for the Three Season Cardigan by Wool and Pine. I imagine it will be at a good price point too!

thank you for this video! I can see this yarn knitting up well into a cable vest, especially in that blue you swatched 💙 I'd like to see a version of this yarn with a dark grey/black cotton core for an extra moody vibe.

Such a great yarn but why Hobbii?! Pom Pom was allways so high quality... i dont understand this pairing. Hobbii with the pricepolitic with a sale every week. I am always laughing so hard when i see an add on insta with "we ordered the wrong color and now our storage is full, so we throw it with 60% out of the window" did they really believe, we believe this?! 🤣😂 great video btw 🥰

I'm going to be the negative nelly on this one. Let the internet trolls have at me for it, but this yarn is not for me and I will voice my reasoning why.
For one, I don't like blown yarns. Marvellous machines are used to make a fine icord chain, speedy and cheaply, which I'll agree is a fine way to make string out of thread. It's usually cheap cotton or nylon. But this chain is loosely stuffed with fluff of a waste quality quite unusable to spin yarn out of itself. It's a cheap process that makes use of something otherwise unusable as yarn (yes, there's a pro argument for that), further reducing costs to produce a yarn but in no way reducing relative costs to the consumer or producing anything of quality. These extremely short fibres, easily airborne in processing, often pose health risks to people working with them as well.
Two. The yarn looks nice and plump, fluffy and full when new, but quickly looks shoddy after washing and there is no long lasting wear. Those fibres eventually empty out in the wash or rub away in areas leaving the core chain.
Three. I also like to steer away from pastels, preferring rich colours. Too many of these are too pale. I wonder how many of these would have any depth on the grey scale, if you know what I mean.

Legitimate but not ethical move by PomPom. Obviously, they did not find the knitting magazine business profitable enough, so they use their contacts and social media network and name to sell yarn now. WTF.
The construction of the yarn seems interesting, and the resulting color effect as well. Well presented by you!
However, the yarn fibre composition raises questions. Yes, it is quite unique, but what kind of special knitter's needs is it addressing except providing the unique color effect??? The advantages of each of the two fiber types are complementing each other, or simply cancelling each other's desirable or undesirable characteristics? Cotton is surprisingly quite environmentally unfriendly, on top of that it is also heavy and gets heavier by body or environmental humidity. Alpaca might be good for environment, but it is pilly and warm, quickly toooo warm. The chainette construction might be interesting for the predominately cotton base, to offset basic cotton characteristics - so it is for those who do not like cotton characteristics???
Looking forward what you might knit and design for this yarn, and what will be your knitter/designer/user experience :-)
