- CanSat is an international competition in which secondary school students design and construct a “CanSat”. This is a drinks-can filled with various sensors, a radio transmitter and a parachute. The can is launched either from a drone, a kite or a rocket and is dropped from a height. The parachute brings it safely (hopefully) back to ground while transmitting data back to base.
Ratoath College entered the competition for the first time in 2017. This video shows the Ratoath College entry being launched.
