Hi, I'm Missy! I'm a wife, mom and Nanny to my favorite people in the world, and this is our story of how we're raising our 6-year-old grandson on our 2-acre homestead in a tiny blip on the map in East Tennessee. We're homeschooling, gardening, cooking up a storm and canning/freezing everything I can get my hands on to fill my prepper pantries and freezers and bringing y'all with us for the adventure!
Thank y'all for watching and be sure to hit that Subscribe button! We'd love to have you be part of our journey and you don't want to miss out on any of our craziness!
Wow Missy, The raised bed garden is incredible. It’s like a whole farm! What a bountiful harvest you all will get for your hard work. It just feels good to grow your own food. You all have really done a great job with this. Thanks for the tour. Have a great weekend. Be well & take care.
Thank you 💜
I absolutely love this video. So exciting. Gardening is so rewarding and therapeutic too, love to you!
Morning Missy... That store bought tomato was freaky looking. Wow I cannot believe your tomatoes and other veggies in the pools what a great idea. Love how they are fenced them off too. It is always a Blessing to harvest your own food. Thank you for sharing and you have given me great ideas for next year. Thank you Missy for spending time with us.
Thank you, Sharon! 💜💜💜
Missy your garden is looking absolutely beautiful. Love the way you have planted everything. I looks wonderful 😃
Thank you 💜
Beautiful garden!!
Thank you for the garden tour Missy. A nice variety of vegetables. Brilliant idea using pools. Looking forward to future updates. Take care ❤
💜💜💜
The amount of stuff is just amazing, nice work missy!
Well thank you 😊 💜
I love getting in the dirt!!
Takes my mind off stuff.
I’d just keep checking em during the days here
I used to grow fennel, dill here in Tx.
I used to raise monarchs
Lovin the garden tour, so funny we are changing to raised beds too. I'm just tired of all the garden cloth, weeds.... I'm loving the pool idea, I have to run that by my daughter and see if we should change away from the 5 gallon pail plan. The crates are a great idea to get the beds a little higher, hmmm, you got me thinking now!
It saves my back and hips a lot of pain 😁 We did 5 gallons buckets last year in addition to the pools. They worked well with tomatoes and peppers but not so much for other stuff. I love my little raised garden ❤️
Everything looks good ❤
Thank you 💜
@@FromtheHolleryou are welcome 🤗 check me out when you can I’d appreciate it 😊❤
❤
Looking AWESOME Missy !! Keeping the critters out and fertilizing are helping, I think. 😊 The yellowing of your plants can be from water or a lack of some mineral.
I'm guessing it's from all the rain we've got. I've literally watered my garden 1 time since March
👍
I loved trying to get my garden going here in Tx using the pool idea too.
Worked awesome until the heat/sun came lol
I invested in 40% shade cloth this year. Hoping it helps to extend my season
@@FromtheHoller sounds like a great idea 🫶🏻♥️ fingers crossed
Woah I just saw a video on how to make strawberry gummies. Strawberries, honey, agar agar, lemon & blend it up. U freeze em in a mold. Looked easy & immediately thought of you
Sounds delicious 😋
I love snap/sugar peas so good. I eat them right off the vine . Yum
So do we! I couldn't even get a good mess of them to the house 🤣
Oh I’m in heaven!!!
Woah love ❤ a garden
Too hot in Tx now
Gotta have my garden 😉 I can imagine what you're dealing with down there 🥵
@@FromtheHoller woah it’s oppressive .. We never get used to the summers .. it’s just so early lol
Loved the video
Thank you for sharing
Looking lovely! My garden is a bust this year,I'll try again next year. Will you make new canning videos this summer?
Oh yes, I'll be making a ton of canning videos! I've got so many new things to make 😁
Your garden is huge Missy, do you guys do all the work yourselves? X
Yes ma'am we do. Paps is more the brawn or muscle of the group and I do the rest 😉
I bought an angel trumpet when my daughter passed and one for my mom when she passed . I have 2 different colors, white and peach . Do you know in the fall/early spring you can dig them up and split the root if you want more. The are invasive though and poisonous. Angel trumpets have the devil’s breath. Look them up. I was surprised about what I learned.
I didn't know that about them. I'll have to split ours this fall. Thank you 💜
Do you ever cook green fried tomatoes?
I sure do! We love them ❤️
❤
