    This is great for people who live within a 10 minute walk from where they work. I already own moped for summer driving but i really want this now. This would fit right in my apartment on the porch or in my living room if need be.

    How loud is it? They should add a kick start, stronger chains/belt, fenders, and exhaust pipe. Comparing this with Bolton ebikes foxbat it seems good because it's cheaper, but you can also get a cheap motorcycle like the CSC SG250 for less than $3000 shipped. Italika also has some really nice cheap motorcycles, but importing/registering them might be a nightmare (eg: SPTFIRE200)
    Seems like people with credit cards and no common sense drive up the prices of these things, I would think all ebikes/gasbikes should be under $1000

    • @vintagethrifter2114
      @vintagethrifter2114 Před 3 lety +3

      It isn't street legal in most places because it exceeds the 49/50cc motor restrictions. Instead of asking CZcams, you should be asking your local DMV or check your state laws pertaining to motorized bicycles.

    • @tomtee4442
      @tomtee4442 Před 3 lety +2

      True but every thing is illegal even a pedal bike going to fast is illegal and can be given a ticket. I have a Phatmoto I always keep pedals turning, courteous, I wave and move off side walks for pedestrians coming. Don't want anyone to call the law for riding a motorized bicycle. I ride on trails, side walks away from traffic as much as possible, no riding or playing in traffic for me. I got my phatmoto at the beginning of January 2019 when they first came out. Also I put 49cc stickers on it. No police except one stopped me in another state he heard the engine on and I cut engine off when I saw the law. officer said I can have a bike with a engine. but not on and engine running in that state unless I wanted to register the bicycle. I was nice to the officer acted like I didn't know the law and rode on after his advice. A few blocks later tired from pedaling cut the engine back on and cruised but riding slow is the key! Just use common sense riding you will be ok. I was thinking about buying a electric bike glad I didn't when battery needs replacing battery is pretty expensive and will only last so long. 4stroke motorized bikes for the money will last longer, over all cheaper to repair - maintance cheaper in the long run and hold more value and will resale better than electric bikes!

      @@tomtee4442 The bikes acting in an illegal manner are the douchebags that make all bikes look like douchebags. The same can be said with motorized bikes. It only takes one to ruin it for everyone. Where I live, the cops give us a common courtesy as long as we obey the traffic laws and aren't acting like obnoxious douchebags. The one that ruins it for us will blame everyone but himself.

    Did you notice the label on the air filter for choke on/ off is reversed? I had trouble starting it, and I couldn’t get any power cause it was running with choke on! Found someone on a forum who discovered his was reversed. Also my throttle slips and decelerates abruptly so I have to use my left hand on the carb to keep accelerating. Finally, the bead on the tire is totally messed up and I can’t get it seated correctly. So far it’s been a big expensive frustration. Your videos are helpful though.

      @UnoShots Před 3 lety

      Every 3 months even if you haven't ridden it, oil is a desiccant which means it attracts moisture so even if it's sitting its still accumulating moisture, which is bad for the internals

    • @tomtee4442
      @tomtee4442 Před 3 lety

      As a rule of thumb for me on gasoline engines and to last longer change oil when it gets dark. It's less than one quart. Four stroke engines will usually last a lifetime if you take care of them. I also have a small camping portable generator I bought New in 1995 still running strong!

    • @tomtee4442
      @tomtee4442 Před 3 lety

      Also on a technical note if a gasoline engine in anything is running poorly from running rich or lack of spark. Tune ups need to be done way more often until engine is running good and clean again. A poorly running gasoline engine will let gasoline pass by the rings and into the oil and also affecting spark plug life this a poorly running engine causes more wear and fuel mileage

    • @rudyglez513
      @rudyglez513 Před 3 lety

      You got to deflate the tires and use a brush with soapy water all around the rim and inflate back up quick with that particular wheel on the air to help it snap into place correctly, that'll make it seat true and feel a lot smoother at speed.
