This is an exciting device for the Rekordbox (probably CDJ too) users who want to own something compact at home or mobile DJing. Unfortunately, it's overpriced IMO. It's cheaper to buy an iPad and DDJ FLX4 for this purpose (and you can use the iPad for more than just DJing).

Do a review of this thing in complete darkness. I just find the screen is the only thing you’ll be able to see at a night time gig. Why they didn’t add LED ring on the jogs is really odd esp at the price of $1500.

In the dark, you can set it to Dark Mode. Also, the display brightness is controllable. There are LEDs on the common buttons like hot cues and the cue and play buttons. Additional illumination would decrease battery life.

I'd love to see a video showing recommendations for setups depending on the different types of DJing. I come from the old school Technics era, and am thinking about setting up again. Mostly house, with a turntablism friendly setup.

Won’t really require a video. There are turntable setups and motorized platter setups available. Though I will say, turntablism can be done on an DJ device as long as it has a jog wheel or platter.
