After riding our motorcycle to the Mohne Dam we ride deeper through Germany to see what else we can find 😊

Enjoying following the videos. I was in Germany and Austria for a couple of days in early May and got caught up in some serious rain and snow. I was lucky that i had left the thermal lining in my gear attached otherwise I`d have got hypothermia.
Coming back off that trip has made me realise i need to bite the bullet and get 4 season Jackets and Pants, they cost a small fortune but i need them. Looking at Klim gear at the minute with Keis Heated base layers and gloves.
If you don't need them great, everyone loves sunshine and the Klim gear has great zipped vents.
Warstein has one of the best known breweries in Germany. One of the best beers too. 🍻
Funnily enough, when i got home i went out for a drink, walked in a pub and they had Warstein on draught... i took a photo and sent it Jonathan on WhatsApp.
I stood in the pub pointing and said "Ive just been there". people probably wondered what i was on about 🤣
When I go away with my mesh jacket I take two other light jackets as well. They both pack away really small. One fits underneath and is very lightweight and silver lined so gives immediate warmth and wind protection, the other that I wear over the mesh jacket if needed is a lightweight sailing smock from Decathalon. By mixing and matching they mean that the mesh can be used in a lot more weather conditions.
That's one thing i will have to improve on. Need to buy some merino wool or similar layers.
There were days where it got down to 3-4c and i didnt have the correct gear, luckily although wet, most days were around 16-18c
I gambled on it being a hot trip, it backfired. 🙄

What a shame about the weather 😕. As for the 'chapel hatpegs' I've bought a genuine BMW Motorrad hoody, which is almost windproof, to go over a mesh jacket, and you can wear it of a chilly evening. Looking forward to your next instalment 👍.
I have a decent winter jacket, but stupidly i thought it would be 30c+ on this trip all day every day 😂

I did exactly the opposite! I was up Scotland a couple of weeks ago, doing bits of the NC500. It ALWAYS rains up there, (yeah right)! The temperature was up to 29c a couple of days with, never less than 25c. I was wearing Oxford Mondial trousers and a waterproof touring jacket. I nearly died from heat exhaustion 😅.
