Well in madame macabre's song: Only Monika. Monika here is different from canon, because in this version, she was a complete monster. Because here she lack sympathy and redeeming traits like her canon counterpart. Here are some reasons that explain her adaptational villainy:
1. She caused Sayori and Yuri to commit suicide in the worst ways possible and removed Natsuki, just for standing in her way. Which she feels no remorse.
2. She also shows sadism and malice in her actions.
3. She has high sexual appetites for the player and destroyed her game on propose, so the player would have worth zero chance of deleting her and it was impossible to restore the entire game. Due to how She destroyed it on propose without remorse. Which shows she might be more cunning then her canon counterpart and was competent enough to get away with her wrongdoings.
4. She lacks a tragic backstory, redeeming traits and comedic moments(Although she laughs maliciously). Which means she is taken 100% seriously and her lack of sympathy and good qualities makes her very evil compared to the canon, thus solidifying her cruel and sadistic nature.
Adaptational villain is where a villain is more evil than original works. Some are complete monsters in fanon works, if they are devoid of any redeeming trait their canon counterpart had.(E.g. King Koopa (Mario Brothers), SpongeBob SquarePants(The Bikini Bottom Horror), Mari (Hands) and Monika (Madame Macabre).
Anything about the adaptational villainy thing about Koopa, SpongeBob, Mari or most importantly Monika?

The new sprite looks amazing, it's exactly what kind of glow up this sprite needed and I love how the hair is a slightly darker color compared to the latter. I'll always love the old one too tho, it was awesome seeing it in action for the first time!

The improvement of the sprites is just insane. Not only is the pixel art much more beautiful but the animation is especially much smoother. Truly a very bright glow up.
Honestly both fit the FNF pixel style perfectly and they're both good but the new Pixel Monika's hair seems really bland. They should've stuck with the old hair color

My thoughts exactly. There are covers that used the updated voice for poems n thorns, and they didn't sound as bad. Dual demise got absolutely massacred. I get why the voice was removed, but they could've made the songs not sound as bad.

I love both of the Pixel Monikas. The only problem is that Legacy Monika’s animations isn’t really that good. I still love it, but it’s mediocre. The improvements to the new Pixel Monika is great! I like the old design, but the hair and smile is just boring.
I might be in the minority here but I liked old Monika the most. The new glow up is just too round for my liking.

Honestly I don’t rlly like the newer one and design. I think the old high school conflict sounded more like a “conflict” because of one particular part in the song. I don’t how to describe the part so you know which part I’m talking about though so I can’t rlly tell but I also don’t like the new design but mostly cuz of the blush. The blush just kinda looks wonky to me and also i don’t rlly like the new sprite because it just sounds like unpixelated monika while the other does.
