4K Front View - Bizan Ropeway Awaodori-Kaikan to Mount Bizan, Tokushima pref, Japan

The Bizan Ropeway (眉山ロープウェイ, Bizan Rōpuwei) is an aerial lift that provides access to the top of Mount Bizan. It is the only line Tokushima City Tourist Association (徳島市観光協会, Tokushima-shi Kankō Kyōkai) operates, while the public company also operates Awa Odori Kaikan, a museum devoted to Awa Dance. The ropeway departs from the 5th floor of the museum. The line opened in 1957.
The Top-Point station has an unusual structure with a staircase leading to a rooftop viewing platform from which the ropeway windlass can be viewed.

A short cable car ride but the views and the foliage are magnificent. The contrast between the bustle of a busy city and the calm of the trip and scenery are lovely - very Japan. Excellent informative shots of the machinery at work too.

Primarily set up as a communications site the authorities in charge used there brains and created a tourist attraction to help with the costs. 👍🏳‍🌈
