+Aaron Murphy clarity is when the throat is open and relaxed (not 'closed throat' singing) and proper breath support from the diaphragm I guess. resonance is when proper breath support from the diaphragm, larynx placement (see videos on yt about it) and lifting the soft palette (the back of the throat muscle that lifts when you yawn or purposely lift it) I guess. Resonance is the sweet spot in singing and causes a ringing or echo sound to the voice. There are plenty of CZcams videos about them, and don't forget that it takes practice. :-)

listen here, i’m here to debunk a very popular myth, literally any note you sing has an amount of resonance to it whether it was fully supported or not, bc if it didn’t we wouldn’t be able to hear a single note at all. although these notes weren’t resonant as in fully supported and fully resonated, they were very open and had more resonance as in full tone, open throat, more “resonant” sounding than other notes

Well dayum, the fact that for the most part it didn't sound really strained is REALLY impressive.
A lot of people diss singers for lip singing their songs but guys we don't know their situation. As for Ariana on her tour, I wanna see you do this tour, sing all those high notes live, and do it for months straight without having vocal damage.
She actually lips some of them. Which is right thing to do because if she would belt bb5 EVERY PART of the tour she would've destroyed her voice. Glad she she belts when she knows she can tho

Ability If you continuously sing and not rest your voice, especially for a world tour, you'll damage your voice. And I'm sure she has dodge it but the thing is that you need vocal rest to keep healthy vocals

They're great.... but how are these even resonant??? Her larynx is high as fuck lol. Her voice is thinner compared to her mid belts. And there were TOO many tongue and jaw tension. They are not even supported in the first place lol.

Simply; they were not good belts.

Her lack of vibrato and very heady mix are a few immediate indicators. Compared to her lower belting, the tonality is definitely thinner and not quite as full. And while I absolutely love her voice, I do have to admit that her Bb5s in particularly sound very shouty. That's definitely due to high laryngeal placement. (If you think of it this way, there's a good reason why yelling hurts)

These notes are supported and resonant but she does have some jaw and tounge and throat tension and can push the note just a tad or be shouty, and she needs to learn to bridge the vocal break so she can sustain the note more properly like Sohyang. those are basically the advantages of sohyang in technique.
The reason why I say that she has jaw tension in some because some of them sound more open and free in the face than others but some of them sound more squeezed or pushed and muffled.
None of the notes in this video are supported or resonant. Ariana has NO breath support above C5 and almost all she of her Bb5s in this video were strained, unsupported, and basically shouts

I REGRET MY COMMENT she has only supported a few of them in the beginning. but a lot of them are muffled because she has A LOT of jaw tension and a closed throat.... very few of them are supported and have resonance but I really do think that she has the ability to support notes that high. I feel like she shouts them and has a lot of jaw tension because she thinks she will Crack if she doesn't. lol. and sohyang can bridge the vocal break or go into the passagio to make her high belts much easier

All of them were loud and sounded pretty easy for her, I didn't hear any lipped notes as well which is awesome! but my problem is that although they sound decent all the notes sounded closed, muffled and nasal, I wish she would sing with a more chesty-sound rather than the head dominent mix she's constantly using. I know that would sacrifise the ease of the high notes but she would sound much better.
She using a more head dominated mix because it's healthier in the long run, she's just preserving her voice. Hitting multiple Bb5's every night isn't easy nor light on the chords.
