    In hindsight, I think my list might need 1 Super Rod...not sure what I was thinking, but I guess the reason why I didn't include it is because I was having difficulty envisioning how I'd be able to then retrieve the Pokemon/energy after playing Rod. You could cut 1 draw supporter to fit it.
    There's more to want to adjust about the deck and it's really up to you to find the right balance - this is just works for me.

      I'd happily make an addendum, but maybe with a bit less intense editing haha 🤣 even in the time it's taken to make this video, new evolutions in Froslass decks have been surfacing. I saw a Japanese list playing Bronzong and Noivern together and I also saw a Gouging Fire centric Froslass deck do well online.
      There's more to try too. Anything that has a somewhat good/cheap attack with no ability is a good start.

    I have been grinding a froslass control box and I have found Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex incredibly clutch for closing out games with the deck. Only having to take 4 or 5 prizes to the freezing shroud can make a huge difference, and with my larger line of ability pokes I can more easily control the enemy prize count. I've really been enjoying it but I need to grind the lugia and Gardy matchup to start playing them better

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 24 dny +1

      You make a really good point. Iron Hands ex gives a lot of these decks problems but maybe the answer was always the big bear 🐻

    @casually_lurking Před 2 dny

    So, for closing Snorunt's other evolution (Glaeli?), Ancient Amongus (non' EX), or Bloodmoon EX are really strong. The first two especially hurt considering their multiplier is damage counter based.

    Tsareena ex + Panic Mask Tool is absolutely filthy with Froslass. So good.

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 24 dny

      I'll have to try it. I've been resistant to the idea of Tsareena/Froslass just because it almost just doesn't need the Froslass, but I am down to try it out at some point.

    I noticed at 24:15 you are looking for Super Rod with Irida, however - Super Rod isn't included in your decklist ???
    I was wondering if the deck could've been stronger with a couple of Super Rods, Earthen Vessels and a Bloodmoon Ursaluna perhaps?
    Please let me know your thoughts! - if you agree with the above, what would you swap for those?
    Great video overall!!!

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 24 dny

      Ah yes you're right...I worry about the deck's ability to retrieve the Pokemon after a Super Rod which is why I probably didn't include it. Earthen Vessel is in there though.
      I think your suggestions are a good idea. You could try cutting one or two Cynthia - but just beware consistency issues if you do. You could consider cutting one poffin perhaps.

    Running frosslass with a couple lost vacuum in my poison deck allows me to take out ancient box without having to use any two prize card Pokémon pretty consistently.

    What do you think about using Arezu instead of Hyper Aroma to free up the ACE SPEC spot for Unfair Stamp?

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 21 dnem

      It's a good question. The reason for Hyper Aroma is that you can search for it with Irida and Arven. Arezu as a one-of card would be quite difficult to find...so it starts taking up more space to include more copies (which means cutting more cards). You can try it but Hyper Aroma is just really good and when we're item locking I'm actually not too stressed out by my opponent building a big hand.

    I would try to put a "salvatore" to start the item lock on turn 1 going second

    • @guillermoborda3436
      @guillermoborda3436 Před 24 dny

      I play 2 salvatore for the turn 1 item lock going 2nd and 1 eri to get rid of the rare candy, it works like a charm, also bibarel is good but trying to heal the damage from it and munkidory at the same time is kinda tough

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 23 dny

      I'm not the biggest fan of Salvatore, but not wholly against it either. I just don't like my odds of opening with it + having the energy.
      I can afford to let 1 turn of items pass usually. In exchange I can more assuredly maintain the lock for the rest of the game.
      I think the value of the item lock really comes to the fore when your opponent can't easily switch out of confusion or play recovery items. As well as being unable to play items to set up a secondary Pokemon.

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 23 dny +1

      I will say, I do really like the idea of adding Eri though - to try and use it alongside TM Devolution.

    I made fross rat deck using raticate super fang bring them down 10 hp and watch frosslace finish them off I haven’t perfected the deck but it’s fun

  • @cadekeeton7157
    @cadekeeton7157 Před 23 dny +1

    I’ll be honest, I found Arcanine to be the best partner. 130HP is clutch at times, and the fighting typing really helps against Iron Hands, which is a terrible matchup. The other worst matchup is Ancient Box, which you can only beat with pure damage. It all synergizes so well, and Munkidori sets up board states that is an attack in itself. Froslass/Munkidori is an amazing engine.
    Other options for your deck, playing Ursaluna EX and Radiant Char with Luminous would be pretty amazing. I’d also suggest a second devolution, as it’s the wincon for the evo decks

    • @cadekeeton7157

      I'll have to put time into it. Tbh I wanted to spend most time on ideas I hadn't seen before and I knew @ForTheWinTCG had cooked a really good take on it. The zero energy requirement is so good.

    I used to play a froslass deck with hisuan braviary and spinda to start putting spread damage, but the confusion was kinda useless as my oppponents flipped like 15 heads in a row in 15 different games. At this point I knew for sure this was not pure randomizer. This game is so guileful I decided to stop playing it.

      @@VyseGames so I've been playing this the last 24 hours with rad alakazam bm ursaluna and an extra monki. It's working pretty well. Alakazam I only use if I need it and use the double monki to keep damage down with 2 lass out. It's not perfect but works as a tech rather than a mainstay.

  • @bunnyborea
    @bunnyborea Před 8 dny +1

    Tried the worst variants no offense, you really missed on froslass + munkidory with cramorant or with hisuian arcanine, both work really good.

    • @VyseGames
      @VyseGames  Před 6 dny

      ForTheWinTCG already had an excellent take on H-Arcanine and I was mainly interested in exploring decks I hadn't seen. Hisuian Overqwil was a thought I had that carried a similar theme (no energy on the attacker).
      I didn't want to try strategies that used many or any Pokemon with abilities due to the damage you take but maybe cramorant would have been a good exception.
