The best part of ASOIAF is that it's like a thousand fantastic stories all wrapped into one. An entire series could be written about Beric, Thoros, and the BWB, so to realize it's just a small piece in the puzzle that makes up the greater story just makes you realize how truly amazing these books are.
That ASOS epilogue is absolute brilliant 😍

I could listen to George talk about these books for hours.
So, if I'm hearing this right, Thoros didn't have to sacrifice anyone to bring Beric back. Perhaps there's hope for Shireen Baratheon yet. But given Melisandre and Selyse's fanaticism, something tells me the princess is doomed anyway.
PS- Beric and Thoros were two of the coolest characters in the series. The showrunners completely failed them.
Maybe the sacrifice for the red God is a part of Beric's personality everytime he's brought back. Just a theory though

Sad to say, but it's been confirmed. Stannis will burn Shireen. Dunno how and why but fuck.
@John Trevolter That's what I fear. Melisandre will burn Shireen to raise Jon Snow without Stannis's consent. I'll be interested to see how that affects Jon and Stannis's relationship. I also see that serving to connect Jon to Rhaegar as tragedy precipitating their "births" and the subsequent impact it has on their personalities. Maybe Jon frequents the location where it happens like Rhaegar frequented Summerhall.
It's damn shame to not starring Lady Stoneheart in the show. It would massive shock toward the show watchers. Sigh...
It would have been good to show the dead Frey's for a whole season and keep her reveal for the end of season 4 then do the Merritt scene where she shows up hooded and rotted with the face scratches and gash in her throat and fucking angry and shaking while Makin creepy noises cuz she can't talk!!! Could have been epic
Im pretty sure i read somewhere that they didnt so that the red wedding had more impact, still would have been cool tho

@@brittanydimartino941 Isn't the last time we saw Brienne she was getting hanged by Stoneheart alongside Gendry because Stoneheart thought she betrayed her? What a shocker that would have been for the show watchers.
@John Trevolter That's right, I forgot we saw her briefly from Jaime's perspective. But we saw no context on how she got there. Same thing with the "Gravedigger" which is 100% the Hound.
thoros is one of my favorite characters in the series, I really cant wait to see whats next for him in twow
I'm especially curious to see him interact with Stannis, as they follow the same god and since Melissandre met Thoros as well as the Brotherhood claiming to carrying out his brother's will.

@@juun9401 There's talk of a Great Other, the dark god of the cold that fights against the Lord of Light. White walkers are often called Others in the books, and it says Craster worships dark gods (the white walkers) so personally I think the Great Other is going to be the book version of the Night King. But others are convinced there'll be no Night King because GRRM never refers to him as "the Night King" in the book.
The whole book series proves how useless the pride of man is. We fight for pride, honor, glory, love... In the end, there is but one battle. The battle against the inevitability of death and how we face it.

Lem Lemoncloak. Anguy the Archer is a kinda Robin Hood. Will Scarlet is sprinkled amongst some of the younger members like Edric Dayne. There's a lot of references to it all. Like Robin Hood was a lord or something before his lands were taken and he turned outlaw.
