- Less than 20PPM TDS is not safe for drinking, because it will be lacking all essential natural minerals which are important for our health. Water contains some natural minerals in it which is essential for our body.
Some of the most important minerals in water is:
1. Calcium
2. Sodium
3. Potassium
4. Magnesium and more
After changing of membrane in my RO system, I checked TDS of water and it was 6 which is very less and so I used a TDS controller in my RO system for better quality water. I have maintained TDS of my RO system at 40 because I have kidney stone problem so cannot consume TDS more than this. For example a person who has kidney stones or stone problem he should not drink higher TDS water. Reason is the stone preparation chances in that body are more and he should avoid high TDS water. The minerals are good for health but excess quantity of these minerals may convert into stones in our body. Containing of calcium, sodium, magnesium, Potassium and other minerals increase permanent hardness of water which cannot remove simply by filtering of water. This permanent hardness of water can be control through membrane of a RO system.
So a very low TDS unite can cause mineral deficiency and several diseases. You can go with minimum 30-70 TDS level, which is fine to drink.
Now you can control the TDS level in water with TDS controller. Many water purifier brands like Kent, Eureka are providing TDS controller feature which is good to manage the TDS in water.
However, it is a good decision to always have water with lesser salts. This measure should never go below 30 ppm or else it’s a risk to our health.

According to WHO guidelines upto 300 TDS is suitable for drinking and according to indian guidelines upto 500 TDS. If your municipal water supply has TDS upto 300 and water is not muddy then go for gravity based filter. Even below 100 TDS is not good for us.

No.The tds should be above 80 better in range 100-200. In fact you should not go for RO if input water is generally good and TDS is less than500 ppm. Unless oterwise if water has impurityies or heavy metals and pesticiedes RO wil be required.The city supply does not need RO generally. If chlorine is added by supplying authority then membrane wont work much. There is limit of clorine content. Normaly utilities add chlorine to clean water. Idea is to check the watersupply firstas to what it contains and thendecide about RO. Ro wastes lot of water .For 1 glass it may waste 4 glasses whch cant be used for drinking or bathing. As it will have all filtered impurties.
You can use FR (flow restrictor) 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 or 450 whichever is suitable. This will reduce the water rejection

My well water is at 3000 TDS after membrane and post filter its at 650 TDS but after T33 filter it became 290 to 320 TDS.

TDS controller regulates the outgoing water pressure. We can also fix flow tap the increase /decrease the flow no. TDS controller is costlier than flow tap. Am I right sir?

It works as a switch instead of a nut, it will flow full speed or else low speed. For eg it will give the same input tds water or else 40tds water, which is just not useful

Respect your video but Never adjust the TDS adjustment and bypass the water as the bypass water may contain arsenic, lead, Mercury and many other inorganic substance which cannot be removed without a membrane. Instead pass the entire 100% water through membrane and use a good mineral and alkaline filter. Thanks
Ab galat chij Bata rahe ho. Agar aapko TDS adjust karna hai, to aapko UF membrane use karna chahie. RO kI reject line se Jo Pani nikalta hai filter water nahin hai. Usmein bacteria hai jo final water mein mix ho jaega. So you must should use a UF membrane.

TDS value can be reduce by adjusting screw of TDS controller. When we increase flow of waste water output flow. Drinking water TDS will reduce. Or we can use multiple membrane in series to reduce RO water TDS with high flow discharge pump. For high flow use high capacity pump

@@imagination3946 yes bro ,thats why i dont prefer so called tds controller . even it not clean solid imp but its drinkable and its tastes like normal water. I get good drinkable water from tap with 70-100 tds ,so we use nf40 membrane instead of ro membrane and avoid that tds controller gimmick.

Depand whether it is open or closed if it is closed and no contamination of waste water there then it is safe otherwise not
@@Guideuncle it's a closed one. 40 feet deep. There are no contamination as far as I know. It's connected to the water tank where it brings soil with it. We do not have any filter as of now. We boil it and use it.
