In fact more than 80% of stars survive their blackhole encounter, some get trap into an orbit around the blackhole, most get thrown away since the blackhole gravity make thing accelerate way pass the escape velocity
@@Buddie21341255612351 Sorry to say, but you're way off. Most do not survive as a star. Some have most of them stripped and leave the orbit as nothing more then flying rubble with the core being ripped out as that is the origin of the gravitational field of the star because it's the most dense part. Almost every time a star only without the core would be able to escape the gravitational field of a black hole after being pulled in.
@@Mrmcjzptlc this isnt false, but most blackhole are stellar mass with a diameter of like 30km, and a killzone of few millions km, since theirs sphere of influence can be calculated in billions of km. Most peoples are bias because we dont detect those blackhole very often without them being active

Sure! But any laws of physics that are slightly skewed would produce a wildly different outcome. It would very likely be completely unrecognizable to our own and life as we know it probably wouldn't exist.

The craziest part about this kind of interaction is that the less massive the black hole is, the more difficult it is for this phenomenon to have occurred.
If the black hole were less massive while the star's properties and trajectory remained the same, there would have been a point where gravity would've prevented the escape already, possibly even before the first pass.
