i fail to see the point in using cmd to open DV to do the exact same thing you did in the first time? was unnessasarily long too
Taking control of the mouse.
i have the same problem with unwanted mouse movement. I made the following change
in Mouse Pointer settings.
1. Select mouse pointer speed. - move slider all the way to the left.
This slow down the mouse dramatically. Adjust slowly towards the right a little bit.
2, Move Pointer to default button in dialog box - user choice.
3. Hide pointer while typing - user choice.
4. Show location of pointer when I click CTRL key - user choice.
These steps worked for me; they should work on any Windows platform.
The main thing is reducing mouse movement speed.
Hope this helps.
I did the first one and it did work! Thanks.

Dude I've tried everything the driver settings and even cleaning my mouse also checking for viruses there are no viruses. Should I get a new mouse?
It might not even be your mouse, I just solved my problem today. None of the methods worked but I did notice my mouse didn't skip or move erratically when using certain portions of my mouse pad. Upon further testing and scrubbing it thoroughly it worked like new.

I have 2 mice both by Logitech, one being wired, the other wireless. As I am going through the directions I get to Mice and other pointing devices, and after going to cmd window, I disconnect the wired mouse to discern which mouse I am investigating (not being used, I forgot the wired mouse was plugged in). As I am continuing to follow the video, I noticed my cursor is now fixed.
Just putting this out their, even though it should be obvious, I have to remind myself that I am sometimes oblivious.
idk if the problem is my mouse or something else wrong with my pc, i too have both a hardwire and a cordless but it happens on both where my mouse moves on its own erratically mostly going to the top left corner of my screen sometimes opening files or doing unwanted commands and i keep playing around to bring it back where i want and fight with it, then it stops doing that for a few mins then does it again it has been happening more frequently and getting worst, i tried everything form uninstalling and updating drivers and playing with mouse settings etc it seems like every video thinks its a mouse problem but could be something else, done full pc scans twice and nothing showed up so idk what to do anymore maybe im looking for the wrong titled vids to fix this perhaps its not "wandering mouse" but something else im not sure how to explain it in order to search for the problem can you pls help?
@@ARCSTREAMSAnother frustrating problem I have is when I am trying to open a link in a new tab, by right clicking the link, I choose 'Open in New Tab', it opens the site in a new tab, but it also changes the current tab too! Very frustrating if you are watching a video, or in the middle of typing.
@@greenman8 yes when i got several tabs open and im looking at the last one i opened the tabs suddenly switches or flips back to the first one i opened and all kinds of annoying uncontrollable things like this or when im typing a text like doing now it jumps off away from the text box and goes somewhere else ,,real frustrating i think they are all related to something and its not a mouse problem
Best Guide Ever
Uninstall device worked! Thank you!
Thank God this fixed it
Thanks for the help
Happy to help
Thank you so much first one workedddd❤
No problem 😊
clean your track pad , update drivers, and if you deleted the device in the device manager go to settings search mouse and click additional mouse option change in that ui find another device and update it's driver if nothing works throw your desktop out the window
Thank you
another one that worked forme was simply shutting down my laptop and turning it back on again
IF IT DOESNT WORK IT MIGHT BE CUZ UNDER THE MOUSE SOMETHING IS BLOCKING THE THING THAT REGISTERS WHERE IT GOES
thank you so much!
THANKS I THINK IM BOUTTA CRY DAWG BEEN STRUGGLING W THIS PROBLEM FOR 7h
its not working ,i have done alll not working
Thankkk youuu!!!❤
Thank you so much. With a flickering mouse, had to restart the video several times. Finally was able to get thru on the 4th attempt.
there is a more easy solution just put your laptop to sleep mode without using the cursor just full press the power button and when its kinda in a sleep mode state just turn it back on, but it only neutralize the glitch not stopping the glitch permanently
Then that’s not a solution
The video is all we need
thanks
Mouse is mice, mice is mouse
Thanks
i find if all above fails, restarting the device helps
Thanks for the tip👍
Cant even use device manager cuz my cursor is shaking 💀
