I don't know whose idea it was to put pauses in like she's at her own personal concert where everybody knows her song and would cheer at those precise moments, but the way people react would be... well, exactly what happened. If she had just performed normally without pauses and not stuck her tongue out, I guarantee she wouldn't have received nearly as much hate. Pretty much everyone hated the song already (except for the electric guitar) for making a bad spinoff of a hip-hop classic, and then she gave a performance where the crowd was so quiet you could literally hear someone yell 'no we're not'. *All of that* is why her career is dead. It's not just a stumble, it's a full roll down the hill of bad mistakes.
