I am not going to lie: I have definitely talked shit about this deck in the past. I didn't understand the hype behind this deck and I felt super overwhelmed looking at the images. HOWEVER, there was 1 card that changed my feelings completely and I wanted to have it. Now, I love it and I got an instant connection.

My favorite one, I think this is one of the best modern Tarot decks. I have full edition, with box, guidebook and big cards. It's very insightful and well-thought deck, with bold, bright details in the art work. It's very mysterious, has modern touch to it, but also respects Tarot symbolism origins.
The production is amazing too, full edition has very nice box with ribbons, the guidebook is well written, and the cards are very pleasant, papery, smooth, easy to shuffle. Kim Krans has other bundles in Wild Uknown series, they have the same quality as well, I highly recommend. Both great for experienced Tarot readers, as well as for newcomers and/or gifts.
I still have a hard time reading with this one sometimes, but I will pull it out when I need a hard reality check, since that's what it does best for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💖
My plan is also to study this deck. I bought it when I was just starting tarot, because somehow it intrigued me. And certain cards that attracted me. But I found it difficult as a beginner at that moment, and I just need to sit with it now it and study them, now I have some more experience in tarot.
It is a very special deck and I believe it to be very powerful and yes I have that feeling too that the deck tells what you need to hear and not necessarily always the answer we like but we ask for guidance and that is what it does. It tells the plain truth and is like a best friend should be 😊
Could Death be a vulture? That feeds off dead bodies? But yeah seems like his feathers are burnt or old or…. Idk … something. If yes that is a bit creepy so maybe it is not that?

Just love and adore that there are lots of crescent moons in this deck as opposed to full moons because I'm extremely sensitive to full moons, I don't particularly care for them, they make me extremely sad and depressed! In fact I despise full moons!
I bought this deck and it's arriving tomorrow 😄 and that too in pride month is such a coincidence. I didn't realise. Btw informative and interesting review.

I keep going back and forth with this deck, both the regular version and the mini, do I want it or not? Your review/video just helped me decide to give it a chance. Thank you! I have been called to pick up the mini size but again kept going back and forth because I wasn't super called to the larger version. Loved the reading you did at the end of the video to get to know the deck. I definitely feel for me that this deck will help me see some of the shadows I am avoiding, and also that is probably why I keep putting off buying this deck. Thank you again for this flip through!

I bought the same deck like years ago and occasionally shuffles and make spreads from time to time. For that long, I still feel that I'm missing a gap in understanding and connecting with the cards.
I totally get what you mean! I loved it at first but I notice that I’m not really reaching for it.. I feel like the guidebook could have more and that would’ve helped me connect to the cards. Thanks for sharing ❤️
@@TarotwithRuby It's a bummer the package company that sent me the deck didnt include the guidebook :( But videos like yours help to understand, so thank you as well. It's my first deck you see and I wanted to fully acknowledge it first even tho it took years to do so 😅 before purchasing another one

Your reading at the end was very interesting, to be honest, I've never interviewed my tarot deck. Is it something that you would recommend? what is your view? I'm intrigued.
I looove doing deck interviews when I get in a new deck. It helps me to get to know the deck, but it's also a good first reading to do with a new deck without the pressure of having to interpret the cards in some deep personal reading. It's like a meet-cute with your new deck!

The pocket edition has more colour, like justice card

@@TarotwithRuby wish the full size had the same colours, but I do prefer having a full size deck.
@@TarotwithRuby I believe the latest version of the mass market full sized deck does have the recolored Justice card, but I’ve heard that the card stock quality is not as nice (very thin).
Ooh yeah I heard someone say that the cardstock of the pocket edition is the same as the latest full size version. I actually really like that, because the paperiness (?) gives a nice slip to the shuffle. But to each their own preference of course! I think I might get the full sized deck after I’ve done my deck study with the pocket edition. Thanks for letting me know about the colours 🥰
@@TarotwithRuby I don’t have either version yet-I think I was kind of like you, not sure if I would really like it. But now I’m thinking of getting the pocket version just to try it out. I do have the Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Oracle. I first purchased the mass market version but the card stock was SO thin (and I’m not so bothered by card stock-for example, I don’t mind Lo Scarabeo deck quality even though a lot of people don’t like it.) But I really hated this one so I sent it back and was lucky to find somebody selling the indie version for a reasonable price. The indie deck is a little TOO thick, but I like it better than the flimsy one. So if the newest Wild Unknown Tarot is like that, I’m pretty sure I won’t like it. 🤷🏻♀️
