    Chris the female bamboo ball python (Daisy) we bought from you March 10th 2019 laid eggs this week. We brought her with our mail who we believe is a normal that we got from PetSmart. She laid six fertile eggs and two slugs. this is her first clutch. I put the eggs in an incubator and clean her and her tank and she ate already this morning. Just thought you'd like to know she's doing fine and so are the eggs. Thanks for everything sir hope to see you at one of the reptile shows soon

    Glad to see you've been collecting so many clutches from your girls. Gives me hope too that my girl could potentially still lay. Didn't see any confirmed locks. But seen them pretty snuggly with each other. So who knows. She doesn't look too big. But you had females thst Didn't look big enough to lay thst ended up laying. So we'll see. Paired my axanthic female to my powerhouse male that's a pastel leopard pin, double het axanthic pied. So lots of different combos thst could come out. Nothing that would be big sellers. But with the right combos, the babies would make great building blocks for different projects.

    I'm hooked on all your videos Chris. Like what you do & how you do it. I have watched all your videos so it's nice to see when your new ones come out. I have a question, are there 4 holes on each end of your egg boxes? Looks like they are at an angle diagonal towards each other.

    I thought I started strong but then had feeding problems . I had one respiratory infection. I didn't think I would get eggs . I paired three females one big and two just . I got one clutch in may the girl that was sick gave me 8 beautiful eggs . She is leopard YB and the male is banana YB . It is definitely more exciting when you finally get some eggs it's been three years. Using the cooler incubator from reach out reptile seems good so far.

    Will you do a video on how to price the snakes that people have for sale? I cannot make sense of it! I see snakes with exactly the same genetics priced at both ends of the spectrum. Why??? I also breed dogs (Mini AussieDoodles) and they are priced on how pretty their patterns and colors are. But that doesn't seem to hold with snakes. Some of the inexpensive ones are just as pretty as the expensive ones and sometimes even much prettier. I know that it's about recessive genes, but that doesn't even seem to hold true. Will somebody please enlighten me?

    Hi Chris, I was curious why you specifically use RODI water in your egg boxes? I've heard you mention it a hundred times, but never explain why.

      Probably because it's super clean and pure. Less chance of contamination by molds.

    Question of the day: With all of these "designer" breeders making beautiful snakes but costs an arm and a leg. Do you ever see a bubble burst of the market where prices come crashing down an all of the designer morphs?

    • @fatalisth
      @fatalisth Před 2 lety

      Its all demand and supply, Albinos and banana for example used to cost 10k+ now you can get them for a couple hundred bucks.

    Ball pythons are not big eater's...The older the less they eat...My 18 year old normal is on his 4th medium rat since January.He gets offered mice and rats of all sizes I've noticed he likes full size big rats.I have never assist feed..They will eat when there ready.

    Hey Chris! I’ve been watching some of your videos because I’m getting a ball python, something I don’t understand tho, If I want my bp to become calm and become more friendly and “tame” I have to hold it a lot, to build that trust and stuff, but how long can I hold the bp out it’s terrarium? Like what about heat and humidity? Love your content tho, your the best

    • @mynibbanibba9343
      @mynibbanibba9343 Před 2 lety

      Im not chris but i can answer this question,u can hold it out for quite a bit like an hour or so but even if u hold out longer than an hour nothing bad will happen,i would make sure the bp is in the enclosure longer than your handling it.Also the breeder should tell u if the bp is friendly and if it isn't tame id recommend holding it out for 10 min at least every two days and if your like most people you'll always want to hold your bp

    • @mynibbanibba9343
      @mynibbanibba9343 Před 2 lety

      Also u don't have to hold it for 10 min every 2 days but if u want your bp to get tamed faster thats what id recommend

      @Edwin, I have 10 yrs breeding myself. And I can tell you in my experience, I have seen pattern and color variance from hets that have been more expressive than the non het versions of same morphs.

    • @RakuzaKamikaze
      @RakuzaKamikaze Před 2 lety

      @@BBMReptilesPR I have seen pattern and color variance from normals, this is the first I hear of it from het clown which is why I'm asking and you didn't answer either. There's obviously the het pied markers but I have never heard anyone say that there's het clown markers.

    • @BBMReptilesPR
      @BBMReptilesPR Před 2 lety

      @@RakuzaKamikaze If your asking specific markers to identify Clowns, there are none. But what I was referring to was what Chris mentioned in his video is true towards all hets regardless of the recessive project being used. It goes beyound the variantes of non het normals you mentioned. But then again, knowing they are hets because it came from visuals may also affect our outlook towards them because of where they came from. Which is why when we have poss hets, because of that difference we already have seen ,can go by when deciding which will probably prove out.
