- This is a brief run-through of my installation of a Quadlock Wireless Charging Head and USB port kit onto my UK 2022 Yamaha R7.
I'm new to motorcycling and couldn't find a lot of information online about how to install this on the R7, so I hope this is helpful. There are likely better ways to carry out this install, but this should give some idea on what's involved.

Good video! I opted to have the factory USB option when I bought my R7 fortunately.

Really good video mate! Was gonna ask does the wire adaptors which you connect directly to the battery come with the charger as standard? Or did you have to buy another kit?
Hi Adam, thank you! The wiring which connects to the battery is part of the Quadlock Waterproof 12v to USB adapter, which gives you everything you need from the battery connection to providing the USB port at the front of the bike. The wireless charging head which was separate comes with a smaller USB cable which then plugs into that new USB port.

Another quick one, just installed mine on my R7 and when I turn the bike off the light is still on… do you know if this drains the battery of the bike?
On the USB wiring kit from Quadlock mine has a selector switch which when set to auto cuts the power to the charger when the bike is switched off and the voltage drops. Do you have that?
@@danshapirotwowheelin yeah, I put it on auto and it remains on when I turn the bike off… does it have an amount of time until it switches off
I installed this last season. After some weeks the cables were burnt off and there was a burn mark above the battery on the seat. Have u had any issues with it?
Hi Morten, oh goodness, sorry to hear that. I’ve not had any issues no! The burn marks were at the positive side of your battery? Did you manage to sort it?
