Today I am going to Chester Zoo to take part in their Predator tour!
We get early morning access to the Zoo with this tour. I had to have a Lion King Disney outfit and Loungefly mini backpack! 🦁 The zoo normally opens at 10am but we got there just after 8am as the tour starts at 8:30am. We board a fully electric mini bus to take us round. We stareted at the Lions and they were all out front and centre for us. Both the females and male Lion and we were so lucky to see them up close. Chester zoo does a lot of conversation work.
We also got lucky to see the Tigers and tiger cubs, Jaguar, Sloths, Painted Dogs and sun bears and more!
Our tour guides were absolutely amazing, so lovely and knowledgeable it made it the perfect experience.
We then got on a little boat for a lazy river type ride. We saw penguins, otters, many different birds. Orang-utan, red pandas, Rhino, meerkat, Giraffes and Elephants.
So many amazing animals to see and they all have large enclosures too. Love this UK zoo.

Oh my goodness, such amazing views of the jungle king and the jungle queen! And those bears…adorable 😍 It’s so funny to think that many of the animals we’ve come to think of as being cute and/or cuddly are actually predators, like the otters! I guess that’s why it’s discouraged to own them as pets 😂 Love seeing the painted dogs, always some of the prettiest and most unique animals in the canine family tree. Such a fun and unique experience - and so cool that the zoo has a lazy river boat ride to enjoy, too! “That’s a lot of teeth” reminded me of Jurassic World 😝 And of course we all knew that you’d flock to the Red Pandas, Hannah….just as we knew you couldn’t leave without a few bits and bobs from the gift shop! I vote for ‘Scruffy’ as the lion’s name, btw - I know I won’t win, but it was an honor just to compete 😂 What a great day out at the zoo. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures in the animal kingdom with us! ✨
I was so chocked when we walked up and saw all the lions right up front! It was so magical. They are so cute and fluffy but 100% not pets! Well, not if you like keeping your skin intact!
I was so glad we got to go on the boat this time! We last went in 2020 and due to the restrictions back then it was closed down!
