Great video 👍 new to jig fishing and definitely have to try it. You didn’t tighten the drag because the drag pull is music to our ears 👂 but 2 lb test is stronger than it seems.

A lot of 2# will break closer to 4#.

Great video. Jigs you use are Berkeley Atomic Tubes. I buy 1/32 oz jigs from Walmart and order bodies online from Southernpro.com. They have a great color selection. The 1.5" Core color bodies and the Lil Hustler 1..5' tubes is mostly what I use. Best day so far at a local lake is 55 trout caught and released in roughly 4.5 hours.

I just cant seem to get bit on these setups, If I do catch a trout on soft plastics its power worms and I wacky rig it. But mostly just spoons and rooster tails is what I catch them on :( I'd love to learn the mini jig

What do you consider a good casting distance with the 1/32 oz mini jig? I seem to only get about 20 yards and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong etc.... Also I use a 10 lb braid as main line to 2-6 lb flouro leader...
Ya you need 2-3 lb test for the best casting distance and at least a 7ft light rod
would you recommend the clifonian trout rod I'm in the market for a nicer trout setup than a Shakespeare

Mark Mathews do you use mini jigs at Poway? I live in Esco. I bought some 4 lb fluorocarbon line and I have a cheap $30 rod and spinning reel combo. Bought some mini jigs and learned how to tie a knot.
