In this episode, we speak with former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sushila Karki. She recollects her journey as a law student and young practitioner in Biratnagar and her thoughts about politics in education. She emphasizes the importance of the bar and judiciary to get involved in legal education, and equally the educational institutions to invite and host interaction programs with legal practitioners and students.
In a segment where law students across Nepal have asked her questions, she tells the students about her challenges in writing judgements despite having received no training from the Judicial Academy.
यस शृङ्खलामा सर्वोच्च अदालतका पूर्व प्रधानन्यायाधीश सुशीला कार्कीसँग कुराकानी गरेका छौं। कानून अध्येता र विराटनगरमा युवा कानून व्यवसायीका रूपमा आफ्नो यात्रा स्मरण गर्दै शिक्षामा राजनीतिबारे कार्कीले आफ्नो विचार राखेकी छन्।
कानूनी शिक्षामा बार तथा न्यायालयको संलग्नताको महत्त्वलाई जोड दिंदै शिक्षण संस्थाहरूलाई कानून व्यवसायी र विद्यार्थीबीच अन्तरक्रिया कार्यक्रम आयोजना गर्न आग्रह गरेकी छन्। कानून अध्ययनरत देशका विभिन्न स्थानका विद्यार्थीसँगको प्रश्नोत्तर खण्डमा उनले न्यायिक प्रतिष्ठानबाट तालीम प्राप्त नगरेको पृष्ठभूमिमा फैसला लेखनमा आफूले भोगेको चुनौतिबारे पनि जानकारी दिएकी छन्।
